When people touch the face of my ring. Like…get your grubby paws off my ring, and thanks for smudging it up with your greasy fingerprint!
I was on a plane the other day and the guy next to me did this:
**Pokes princess face**
Followed by “Nice ring”
At the time it really got under my skin and then I started thinking how it’s not the first time it’s happened…it’s kind of like a stranger touching a pregnant woman’s stomach…like NO.
Has this happened to anyone else? I’m mostly kidding…but kind of not…

My husband does that to me! It drives me nuts, he knows it too..so he does it even more.. grr! lol
I’d be all kinds of ticked if a stranger did that though, not cool

Never happened to me, sometimes close family will grab my hand for a closer look. I can’t imagine if a stranger did this *resists urge to grab the stangers glasses/cell phone/purse and start grubbing it up* I’d be so irritated. In general I’m really irritated if strangers touch me or my stuff.

It HAS happened and I do think it’s odd. I don’t mind when people grab my hand to see but do hate when the “grab” the center stone as it does get it dirty and smudged. But, I don’t really let it bother me too much and take the compliment since it’s done admiringly I suppose 🙂

more so when I was newly engaged. Peope would grab my finger, twist it and the ring back and fourth toget a good look at it. Meanwhile, I swear I can hear my knuckle separating…

I guess i”m more easygoing. I don’t mind at all.

Doesn’t bother me either especially as it’s done because they like it. No big deal in the grand scheme of things.

@mrsmay07: +1. Fi does this. Often. I wear long sleeves though, so nobody really even sees my ring!

My FI does it! But not on purpose. He just does it without thinking about it.

I’ve got a green sapphire which shows fingerprints really well. FI is constantly smudging it up because he likes to rub his thumb over the stone. I managed to break him of playing with my ring when we hold hands when I had a promise ring so at least he doesn’t try to twist it on my finger anymore. Though he did try to take it off the other day when my finger was a bit swollen which hurt.
I haven’t had any strangers go for my ring yet, for which I am grateful.
