So, I thought my day yesterday was bad when i couldnt find a place in this small town to get my nails done. I went to one salon and they started cutting my fingers instead of my cuticles! After several fingers were left bleeding, i finally walked out and didn't let them finish. I had to drive about 35 miles to get the next salon and get them fixed ...

But then, my family starting arriving in town, and one whole group of them (the ones who were most annoyed about having to fly) arrived WITHOUT THEIR BAGS. Yes, the airline lost six peoples' bags! They thought they found them and were going to truck them there at 3am, so when I stopped by I didn't bring anything. Well, there they were, with broken heat, nothing to sleep in, not even a change of underwear MISERABLE. I wanted to cry for the elderly members of my family who looked so cold and tired. Then we found out that the bags they found weren't theirs, but someone elses with the wrong names on them. The only thing open at that hours was walmart 50 miles away and they'd be in bed by the time we got back at 2am if we went. Hope of getting the bags back is slim and no one has anything to wear to the RD today and wedding.

I asked about my sister who I was still holding out hope would decide to come at the last minute, and they broke the news that she was definitely not coming. I feel really sad today and it's the day before my wedding! Poor mr. Panda can only fix so much, and he can't make my sister appear here magically. He is beginning to be overwhelmed as well.

Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention Panda's poor grandmother passed away last week and the funeral was last night. I can't blame anyone who will be in poor spirits during these events or those who told us yesterday that they simply could not make the flight from Utah in time to be back for our wedding :(

*HUGS* That sucks. =( I'm so sorry for you, and for your guests. I hope the airline they were flying with will reimburse them for their expenses buying all new clothes, etc!

I'm sorry for everything that's going on.  But it looks like it's going to be perfect timing to have a wedding.  People who are able to be there could definitely use the lifted spirits!

Oh no, sending you some hugs!

I hope the airport finds their stuff--did they have any of it insured? They lost my baggage once, found it later, and then overnighted it and brought it to my door about 2 hours before i had to be at a wedding. I'm holding out for ya!

In situations like this you just have to remember that things could be worse. It is very unfortunate for the loss of a family member. There is never any control over these terrible things. For the luggage; it definatly is an inconvienience but; they all made it alive and well. Thats about the best way to look at these things because there really isn't anything else you could do. I would take them on the drive to somewhere appropriate to buy a few outfits incase they don't get their luggage in time & then just settle & be glad to have their company. These are just memories that add to your special day. Try and relax & Look forward to your Wedding. (By the way; yes they are your guests; but they are grown ups. They know the risks that you take by packing EVERYTHING in your luggage. They'll figure something out!)

Hey everyone, thanks for all the kind word. The wedding is TODAY and of course I cannot sleep. All good things yesterday though: the airline managed to locate the missing bags and they were trucked over here during the rehearsal dinner, so at least they will have their fancy clothes for tomorrow.

And here it is, the biggest miracle of all. My sister got on that plane!!! My other sister came to tell me she was coming and she was already in tears. I thought for sure something had happened to one of her kids, but they were happy tears for my other sister.

I'll never know what inspired her to finally get on the plane, but I did speak to her yesterday morning briefly and just started bawling at the sound of her voice. All I could say was "You're not on a plane :(" She started crying too. She tried to say a few words but I couldn't come up with anything in response but "I love you." I drivelled just that a few times on the phone before forcing myself to get off. She must have decided that day to come! I love her so much and Mr. Panda too. I can't wait to get married today!

    Thanks All!
