I thought this could be a fun thread for all us waiting gals to do..it might just bring a smile to your face :)
OK, so I'll start.. (warning this might be a spoiler to those who havent read Breaking Dawn in the Twilight series)
You know you're a lady in waiting when.. you're reading Breaking Dawn and after loving main character Bella the entire Twilight series, you now hate her b/c she is engaged and married in the first 5 chapters..OH and her honeymoon is on a deserted island..ugh biotch.

You know you're a "lady-in-waiting" when... you try to calm & prepare yourself for an engagement when a friend does something special with her SO (yes, sad.lol don't want to look sad when it's announced. May just be me!)
You know you're a lady-in-waiting" when... You join a wedding discussion board in the "waiting" catagory to talk about your pending engagement fantasies!!!

You know you're a lady-in-waiting" when... you're tired of getting everyone else's wedding invites, etc.

You know you're a lady-in-waiting" when... you have a folder saved on your computer as MFWR (My Future Wedding Resources ;) where you bookmark wedding ideas/websites and your tentative guest list. The code name is in place so that your BF wont get weirded out by you.
You know you're a lady-in-waiting when... you see sale wedding things in Micheal's and you debate whether to buy them are not!LOL
lol @fuschiasparkles !! i have the same thing, the folder name is simply 'w', for wedding, obviously. that is so funny!

You know you're a "lady-in-waiting" when... you contemplate buying a dress from OnceWed or Preowned Wedding Dresses, just in case you can't find it anymore when you're actually planning a wedding!
@MsMamaBear - Oh my God, so true. I engagement ring shop on the train, at work, at school - everywhere. I will actually stop women and ask them about their rings if I like them. I'm obsessed!

You know you are a "lady-in-waiting" when ... you tell your mister that you have stopped planning your wedding in your head because you have gotten to the point that you need his input.

And my folder is called, unapologetically, "Wedding Thoughts."
And still I wait... :)

My folder is just named "other" so not unique. It was called "rings" because that's what it started as. But I had to change the name because I was going out of town with my computer and my parents. We're close to buying a ring and the proposal should come soon after that, but I want to announce we're proposed to them once we are. They will be very excited. I didn't want them to see my "ring"/wedding folder.

Flutterbi- I never noticed rings before, now I notice them all and actually notice who is married or engaged. LOL Never knew until someone told me before.

You know you are a "lady-in-waiting" when ... you think about what your reaction to him popping the question is going to be and vow not to cry (even though you know you will).
You know you are a "lady-in-waiting" when ... You have an accordian folder with each slot labeled with a different part of the wedding (i.e. flowers, food, venue, etc..) and have the entire folder filled of ideas you want at your wedding and add to it everyday.
You know you are a "lady-in-waiting" when ... atleast once a day you get asked if your engaged YET.
You know you are a "lady-in-waiting" when ... your mom starts subscribing to wedding magazines.
Haha I created a wedding folder on my computer last month, :D Right now it's only filled with calculations of expenses. I named the folder using my native language's word for "wedding" so that my BF won't find it and think I'm a freak ;)
@july my folder is also very slyly (I think) called 'w'.... Haha!! However I have to say that:

i feel better that i'm not the only one with a folder! mine's called 'the' and has a ton of subfolders too.
You know you're a TYPE-A lady-in-waiting" when... you spend hours looking up vegan meals because it suddenly occurs to you that you have 2 vegan guests. not that there's even an event for them to be guests at!
I have a folder too!! Hahaha... look at all of us... so organized. :)

FYI - I've had to stop mentioning the above things to the boyfriend because I'm afraid he will wait to purpose as to have less time to hear about the wedding constantly.

~ You not-so-slyly have a bookmarks folder on your browser named "Rings"... on your shared computer with SO.
~ You never leave your email open because you get a daily email from Martha Stewart Weddings detailing everything from DIYing tissue poms to coordinating china...for your nonexistant reception you are nonsensically planning.
~ You know your ring size, but you order a ring sizer from an online jeweler just to make sure. You also make a mad dash to the mailbox each day to make sure you get the package without his seeing your ridiculousness.
~ You realize you have failed to get to the mailbox before SO one day, as he gives you the stink eye while looking at various postcard advertisements in his hands for wedding photographers in your area. You carefully begin wondering how in the world you were stupid enough to give your address to the wedding site you signed up to. Thanks a lot, freaking theknot.com!!

Okay. This is officially my favorite thread EVER on this website. SO funny and so ridiculously true. I now sneak out of work early when I can, just to catch the beginning of the Say Yes To The Dress marathon weekdays!! I also OBSESSIVELY stare at other women's engagement rings to the point of freaking them out, then I usually just ask. It's insane. And funny part is, it used to drive me CRAZY to see my friends comparing engagement rings because it just felt malicious and hurtful. no no, it was just research! I can also totally relate to the "keeping your nails done" part, ha ha!

You know you're a lady in waiting when....you're concerned about your ideal venues and vendors getting booked before you have a chance/reason to find them.
You know you're a lady in waiting when....you consider your forthcoming wedding/engagement photos in your haircut decisions.
Also totally agree about the covert wedding folder (and sub-folders!).
