Everytime I have a proposal dream I have to tell my SO what it was about and whether or not I liked it, because I have some pretty terrible ones!

@MrsCVsomeday:  OMG! I completely understand! I’ve been thinking nonstop about a ring and the past three nights, I’ve had dreams about it. I had a dream he took me out to dinner at our favorite place and then proposed with my dream ring outside the restaurant on our towns square!

Oh I can relate. I woke up with a gasp one morning and apparently SO heard me and goes “What’s wrong?” I didn’t have the heart to tell him I had a dream that he gave me an awful proposal, so I said “Oh, zombies” and went back to bed. LOL.

Before he proposed I had three proposal dreams with hideous rings.

Then nearer to the event, I had a wonderful proposal dream and I started crying when I woke up and it wasn’t real.

Finally, a week and a half before he proposed, he was chuckling a little bit to himself when we were getting ready in the morning. I asked him what he was laughing about and he said, “I probably shouldn’t tell you this, but I had a dream that I proposed with a ring that was a round ruby with a halo. I didn’t realize until after I did it that it was nothing like the ring you wanted.”

I just laughed and said “Oh, I know that won’t be a problem!” and I secretly rejoiced because I thought he must have had the dream because it was on his mind a lot. I was right- he had ordered the ring!

It’s funny how many of us have proposal nightmares! I totally wasn’t worried about what he would pick out in real life so it makes me wonder why I had bad dreams.

I have a lot of proposal dreams, usually they’re nice ones not nightmare ones but it still doesn’t help! Had one last night. I tend not to tell Mr Wigeon though.

oh I have had those…both good and horrid.

The good ones I never want to wake up since it feels so nice in my dream to be engaged and I just love that feeling. That when I wake up i am dissapointed.

The bad…the ugliest ring I have ever seen andn he designed it and was so happy about it and because he is such a Star Wars fan designed it after the movies. I am still always happy to be engaged just embarassed by the ring. However I always tend to learn lessons from those dreams so in the end, I guess they are ok.

I just hope it happens soon, I want my dreams to become a reality.

This happened to me for months while I knew he was ring shopping. He wouldn’t except ANY input! But no worries, he finally proposed on Tuesday and I am literally in love with my ring.

My advice is to keep calm and trust him!

When we first started going ring shopping, I had a dream that I was looking at the side view of one of my favorite Tiffany settings, so I thought that was a sign!

I went back later to try it on, and it was just “meh” on me in real life. Still addicted to the side view though!

@MrsCVsomeday:  Whoa… I had a similar dream last night too!!! He proposed with this totally fugly pinkish stone in a bizarre setting. The proposal was on the living room sofa and he was crying and I couldn’t understand anything he said LOL. He said we’d upgrade soon and this was just a placeholder ring. Messed up!!

Maybe I need to stop looking up so much ring porn and looking at pics of my dream rings *sigh*!

I had a dream he proposed with one of those stupid “engagment ring keychains” you see around valentines day! Best part was he even took me to get it sized to my finger, the lady at the jewelry store gave him the weirdest look and everyone asked why I’d wear that as my engagement ring! haha
