@MsGinkgo:  I take it to mean COB, so 5pm. I will allow some leeway to 5.30pm but that is my limit. Nothing s**ts me more than vendors who can’t respond in a timely manner. My venue co-ordinator is the worst. 2 weeks to tell me how much a cocktail costs. Bah. (Oh it’s wedding season she says – no duh, my wedding is one of them!)

I usually take it to mean by the start of the next workday, so like next day 6am!

Since my niece was 14ish we’ve been getting her GC for the movies.  She and her friends go all the time, and ticket prices are crazy.  That’s what she spends her allowence on, so we give her $50.00.  She pretty much just got money or gc after she was 12 and dressing herself.

I would back off the VS thing.  It sounds like (with the Frozen thing) her or her mom aren’t ready for her to venture into VC and you don’t want to step on any toes.  They have cute bras and makeup at Macy’s you could get her a gc for there.  Also, this is from her big brother, would he ever have gotten any of his younger female siblings VS GC’s before?

I have this problem with my vendors too.

First it was the day of coordinator. She went a week without replying back. Turns out she was having email issues.

Then it was the florist. He said he’d get me a quote by Monday. He said this on a Friday or Saturday.  I waited a month for said quote.

Then was catering. They are in charge of taking care of my rentals. I was trying to get an estimate from them for 3-4 weeks. The first two was futsing around. Then questions. Then “oh I’ll have it to you by Monday”. Then I wait until Thursday and tell FI he better contact them or else “imma lose my ish”. Mmhmm.

All were super prompt at first. Once you hire them they take their precious time.

@bapbap:  Yes, EXACTLY! Once they have your deposit locked in all the prompt responses cease.  It is unbelievable. (Except for my photographer, she is amazing.) Currently on day 6 of waiting for my loose flower order quote from the florist that was definitely positively going to be emailed to me on Sunday/Monday gone.

By COB, which varies by business.

Not cool. Depending on what the issue was, I’d be pretty damn pissed off.

@MsGinkgo:  What a pain! To me, end of the day means close of business, which obviously varies depending on the business. 5:00 is the norm but I’d be okay with a little later. The situation you’re describing though is so not cool!
