you should check out etsy.com they have a lot of trendy, artisty and hippy stuff that they sell on the site.
i'm hoping to spend less than fifty each. budget is tight, and the girls didn't have to throw any parties - they live states away. but they did get dresses and shoes and such... i hope that isn't too cheap of me!
think i can find them something awesome for that price? i really dont have much of a choice...
Here's a few ideas:
- Makeup and/or nail polish (splurge on some nice stuff like MAC or Sephora - you can still get a couple of awesome items for them for under $20 each) in cute makeup bags with a mini makeup mirror inside
- handbags
- nice quality journals with cool modern designs on the cover with a fun pen of some kind
- necklaces, earrings or bracelets
- something that would be helpful for any of their hobbies or personal interests i.e. cookbooks if they like to cook, art supplies if they like to paint?
I have two teen bridesmaids that live in other states
Their gifts include a DIY pearl/ribbon necklace, DIY bamboo handle purse, DIY decopauge tin, sarong, and glass perfume decanter
I was going to give them these but they were so excited about them I gave them to them 6 months early:
silk wrap fabric with DVD to figure out various ways to wear it
I received the best gift ever when I was a brides maid for my cousin's wedding last summer. She gave me a silver bracelete with my name on it. I don't think so she spent more than $25 on it and I personally as a brides maid, I didn't think on how much she spent but on how personalize was the gift...
What about a journal? I love giving journals to younger girls to encourage them to write write write! Maybe you could write them each a nice note in the first few pages about how excited you are to be a part of their family and that you hope they use the journal to write about things that bring them joy. Kind of cheesy but journals are great.
Also a word of unsolicited advice :) -- Make sure that on the day of the wedding the photographers gets a picture of your groom and his sisters -- I know from when my big brother got married my all time favorite picture is of him, my sister, and myself -- it is such a great photo. We always loved each other but that day was just such a happy day that we weren't forcing our smiles like we always did when Mom and Dad were taking pictures growing up!

My bridesmaids are both in their teens. They're my new sisters in law and they're pretty hip chicks.
I'm at a total loss as to what to get them. I can't spend too awful much, but I want to get them something they'll really like.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
