@ShabbyChicBee:  I’m not sure about that specific one but I’ve used “Too Faced; Better than False Lashes” mascara that has the fiber stuff. It does work incredibly well but it is a PAIN to wash off.

I was a little taken aback at first because it just looked like little fuzzies on the brush and my lashes which I thought would look weird, but the way the mascara clings to it looks really nice if you do it carefully.

I am an Elite Younique Presenter and I wish I had this for my wedding day! I would have given my ladies one for part of their gift and had them wear it for my big day! I can say it is 100% worth the hype and it has a money back guarantee within 14 days of delivery! Here is my before and after. Everything I use is Younique. I had worked for Estee Lauder for 15 years and I will never go back to anything but this- I back it that much!My link is on my picture! Check it out!

The 2 faced one is a one step process so when it comes off it comes off in tubes and gets all over your face sometimes! The Younique one’s fibers are made out of green tea fibers and are used on top of the transplanting gel. The gel then goes over the fibers for a final coat!

@ohhhmy21:  Have you read the Weddingbee Terms of Service? Self-promotion (which is what you are doing here) is prohibited.

@ohhhmy21:  I don’t mean to say you’re wrong… but your after picture is of course going to look better because of all the make up you have on your eyes, emphasizing them. It’d be much easier to compare if you’re before picture was a “drug store” mascara without with eyeliner and shadow and the after was this other mascara without the liner and shadow.

@ShabbyChicBee:  No, I have not used this product and personally I’m just overly annoyed with it because people won’t stop promoting themselves on FB about it. The “Too Faced better than false lashes” does work well, but also if you don’t like the fiber, Benefit They’re Real mascara is great too.

@ShabbyChicBee:  I have tried the Youniqe 3D lashes – As background, I have pretty short, straight lashes (that stick straight down if I don’t curl them) combined with oily skin, so anytime i use anthing besides a ‘tube’ mascara, I get raccoon eyes and smudges big time. For my DIY wedding makeup I decided to just do false lashes so I didn’t have to worry about smudges, etc.

I did like the 3D lashes system and didn’t get the raccoon eyes or flaking/smudging, so that is a major plus for me. I think it smells nice too, as a side point. It did make my eyelashes much more noticable but maybe not to the ‘false lashes’ claim . . . but I’m not starting out with much natural lashes to begin with . . . I have not tried layering the two components yet though, as they say you can do (gel/fiber/gel/fiber/gel etc).

I usually use it for more special occasions though – date night, party, etc. because I do pretty minimal makeup for everyday, and have never gotten into the habit of wearing mascara every day. So for my lifestyle, it’s not really worth it for $30, just because I don’t use it that often. But if you are considering other mascaras at that pricepoint, it’s worth considering.

I didnt know that self promoting was against the rules since I am also a makeup artist by trade. I will show you a regular mascara look vs. my done up look which I did for a tutorial I made.

obviously I wasn’t trying to stir the pot. I was on here and saw someone posted about the 3d mascara. I was on here for bridal show information about tables. Sorry if I ruffled any feathers.

I’ve never tried that brand, but I’ve tried a couple of other fiber mascaras and I’ve hated them all. The fibers fall in my eyes and they look clumpy and I just do not enjoy them at all.

ShabbyChicBee: I am an advid user of the 3D mascara! I was in the same boat with the mascara as you are before I tried it and instantly fell in love. I now sell it because it was THAT Good. But the reason that really made me switch was just trying it for myself. I liked that when I opened my mascara that you didnt get a chemical smell. I challenge you to try that with your mascara your using now! I love that I don’t have to rip my eyelashes out to get the 3D mascara off. If you have questions let me know! Sorry for the paragraph… Lol I truly love it that much and it has a love it gaurentee!

ohhhmy21:

I didn’t take your posts as self promotion…I thought they were interesting…you simply answered a question someone else posed!

I have not tried the mascara (I use Lancome Hypnose Drama…also very good…same price point approximately)…that said, I have recently tried 2 Younique products for the first time – the face and eye primer and the tube concealer…both VERY good and COMPLETELY worth the price!

This is an old thread, so I’m not sure how and why it got resurrected. I have been using the 3D Fiber Lashes by Younique, and I don’t really find them much different from Too Faced’s Better Than $ex mascara or Benefit’s They’re Real lashes. I guess it depends on what kind of lashes you have to start with.

I normally wouldn’t pay that much for mascara, but wanted to help out a friend who was selling Younique. If you have that money to burn, then definitely try it out once, but I probably won’t be getting it again.

My bridesmaid sells it! So she gifted me some… I had already bought a fancy waterproof mascara for the big day, so I didn’t it use it for the wedding. I like it okay… it gives you fluffy lashes but the fluff kinda goes on your chest when you’re putting it on… it’s kinda weird. First you use the sticky stuff on your lashes and then you apply the fluff separately. The fluff kinda goes all over and then you kinda need a eyelash brush to get the extra fluff off your lashes too. Personally, it’s not my favorite but I understand why some peopel like it, it is defintely a different look and adds volume. I don’t know if it is very waterproof though and that is a big concern for a wedding day.
