Ok bees, here's the premise: we're in an alternative universe and you're getting married. This is your chance to choose an alternative dress and ring - be as wild as you like, none of the practical considerations count. Allergic to rose gold? Not in the alternative universe you're not. Feel like getting wed wearing your pjs? It's an alternative universe, why the heck not! So go let your imaginations fly - these are mine ;) A rose gold ring because I love it but sadly the real world has a monstrous thing called eczema in it, and a grey, wafty dress cos, well, I'll probably end up in something ivory and corseted!

As for a ring, I never really searched for one, I just happened to fall in love with one - and it's the one that's on my finger!
Ok I do love my ring so I don't know what else I'd pick, but I would definitely go for a pink/blush wedding dress. Kitty Chen, the Divina, etc...

@TammieRei: That dress is AMAZING. But I can kinda see why your mum rejected it - the crazy veil in the first picture kinda makes it look a little Miss Havisham/Bertha Rochester, and that skews the view of the dress - had to look twice! The back is stunning though!
This is what I'd have! I'm hoping h2b will get me the ring anyway as a pressie at some point!
In real life my dress was fluffy, tea length and pink, so in my alternate universe I'd like something like one of these Elie Saab dresses in a pale, warm gray.
And my real ring is a white gold morganite halo, so in my alternate universe I'd probably go for warm antique diamonds in a rose gold setting. I still like halos though.
In an alternate universe we would have a 1920's art deco themed wedding to go along with my antique ring:)
In an alternate universe, the budget would not be an issue... and I wouldve gotten the Lydia gown made by Christos... I LOVE swiss dot dresses.

Hmmmm....in this alternate universe I would weigh a lot less, so I'd look fabulous in anything.
I loved this dress when I was looking but it was far out of my price range.

For some reason I've become fascinated by blue diamonds lately.

These are all GORGEOUS and amazing! Makes me sad that more women don't make their "alternate" dreams a reality - so much individuality and uniqueness in the rings and dresses on this thread. How cool would it be to see that more often instead of the same halo ring over and over again?
