I admit it.  I love to travel but hate flying.  I suck it up and have a cocktail and get on the plane though!

We're looking at St. Lucia right now and he's got some amazing ideas thus far (see other post about Villa de Pitons World Heritage Site)!

    Where's your dream destination?

I haaaate to fly as well. It's awful. If I could go anywhere, I would go through Italy & Greece. Or, I would go to Australia!

Maldives, Seychelles, or Australia & New Zealand.  Unfortunately, not enough time since it takes so long to get to each of those!

I know this isn't that exotic or anything but our dream would be Sandals Grande St. Lucian in one of the Rondovals with the private plunge pool and outdoor shower! I think it's like 2 grand a night or something... Innocent

If we had the money we'd have gone to Maui. We went to the Big Island back in March and went to Oahu a couple years ago so we've been dying to go to Maui next. Oh well maybe in a couple more years. If I could live in Hawaii for a year, I'd pretty much die happy.

We're really really hoping for Ireland.  Money will be short, but we will be taking our honeymoon for our one year anniversary, so we have a bit more time to save!

If money were no object...Turtle Island in Fiji...where every single cottage (of only 10) are beachside...

But $20K isn't in my budget!

We were planning on either Seychelles or East Africa (to follow the migration)... based on work demands, that couldn't happen. :(

But we are planning to go to Cuba this spring!

Wow that's amazing DG!  Have a mojito for me!  Tonight on the travel channel Andrew Zimmern's new show, Bizarre World, is going to Cuba!  I love his shows and pretty much all of travel channel!

My sis and bil went to Sandals Grande Antigua and I think they had a rondoval there and loved it btw!  Their favorite new spot for their annual anniversary trip (been married 15 years now) is Round Hill, Jamaica!

One couple I dearly love whom I work with, got married while they were on assignment in Alaska (they did quite a few stints doing medical travel work) and they got married on top of a glacier and honeymooned there for about six months while they worked!  Then after that for a year they went to Maui and worked there.

Who else loves the travel channel?  I'm hooked on Bizarre Foods/World, No Reservations (my favorite) and all the fun quirky shows like "best of" and "haunted travels'!

Fiji - We can't afford that so we are going to Cancun. It's still a beach.

I think my dream honeymoon would be two weeks in Greece. The first week just staying at a resort on one of the greek islands and chilling out after the wedding, the next week traveling the country!

We're looking into the Maldives because it would be cheaper for us (we live in Hong Kong)... but Greece, Seychelles, or Peru I'd be uber happy with too =)

DF and I are trying to work out where the hell to go to. We had decided on what we wanted to spend (and it was quite a lot for us, but not by everybodies budgets). On Saturday, my brother asked me what our budget was for our honeymoon, and offered us 50% of it as a wedding present. We have decided that we are going to combine both lots of money and have a to die for honeymoon.

We are in the UK, so Europe isn't too big a deal for us (although I would love a villa at the Forte Village in Sardinia). We don't fancy Mexico or the Caribbean , but do like the sound of Japan, Brazil or Africa. The world is just so big!!!

DG did you see the show last night?  It was really good.  There are some gorgeous little islands off the coast they visited for snorkeling and it looked so pristine! The people seemed really friendly and fun too.  Cuba looks like it's very interesting to visit!

We wanted to go to St. John in the USVI.  I loved that the island is mostly National Park, so it would be less crowded and more natural.  Our second choice was Puerto Rico...too bad we didn't have it in the budget for either trip.  Maybe for an anniversary or something?

    Um, LOVE Tony Bourdain :)

My dream honeymoon would have been Bali, but we just didn't have the time to keep flying all over the world!  It takes too long to get there!

@Jessie: Oooh St. John!  T loves that and has mentioned Caneel Bay but I'm not sure if it's on that island or not (will consult the ever wise Tripadvisor for that one!).

@Legalbee:  Bora Bora would be nice with an over water hut of my own!  Those would be amazing!

We don't have a TV Belle-- so no travel show for me.  I did tell Mr. DG about it, and we tried to stream it online, but no such luck.

another vote for Greek Isles or Bora Bora . . . neither were in our price or time range so we took a mini-moon in Martha's Vineyard which was actually perfect. we are saving up our Starwood and airline points to go to Santorini for our anniversary though!

6-8 weeks in the South Pacific island hopping.  My friend is doing it now (she works on a provate yacht) and I droll over every email she sends.

Waikiki Beach... Oahu, Hawaii... I've never been farther west than Chicago so that would be incredible!  I've always wanted to go to Hawaii... it's so expensive though, especially the flight!  I know Waikiki is pretty touristy... (so I've heard), but we love areas with a lot to do, so I think it'd be fun to go there! Smile  Now, I just need to start saving...
