What would you just absolutely salivate over if you had one *amazing* (aka super creative foodie) bridesmaid who volunteered to make food for the bridal entourage the morning of your wedding?

Should I go with homemade coffee cake? Streudel pastries? Go ahead, dream big--last week it was a vegetarian hashbrown-egg casserole with french bread =]

Omg, before I gave up eggs (allergic) I lived for an omelet with well done hashbrowns inside!!!!!!!!

I would like crepes with fresh raspberries. I just had them at the farmers market and OMG they were incredible .. with fresh farmers eggs too.

Wait on second thought I am tied between two that I am in love with:

Belgian waffles or Chocolate chip pancakes with syrup, fresh strawberries and whipped cream (allergic to dairy ... dam*it =( ...)

All of my breakfast fantasies involve bacon ... lots and lots of bacon!

Oh and I love bananas foster french toast!!!!!!!!!!!!! and turkey chicken sausage homemade ... =)

    I'm a foodie ... yes.

Eggs benedict!  It's one of those things you never get to have at home, only out at a restaurant.

In fantasy land: scrambled eggs with homemade salsa and avocado, bacon, crispy hashbrown casserole, a stock of silver dollar pancakes, a chocolate chip belgian waffle with a whipped cream smiley face and pineapple.

In realty: I'll be way too nervous to eat, and my mom will be shoving pieces of banana down my throat so I don't faint.

Oh my goodness, eggs benedict, mmmm. Maybe I should have mentioned that I need something I can TAKE to a salon. I'm not about to take my portable griddle with me =]. I was thinking: casseroles, strudels, coffee cakes, monkey bread, muffins

Foods that I can drive 30 minutes in the car to the salon!

The coffee cakes and strudels sound YUM! But I'd think you would need some protein to get you through the day.

That's what I was worried about (I always like some protein, eggs, yum!), but they don't eat ham or bacon and stuff. Plus, we are eating breakfast at 930am, and lunch is at noon, so we won't be going that long without food.

I have my breakfast picked out :) I LOVE eggs/bacon/hashbrowns.. but my stomach can be a bit iffy after eating all that stuff. I also know that when I am nervous I tend to not want to eat.. this means it has to be something almost dessertish (I can never say no to sweets)... so I am having strawberry crepes!

Pain au chocolat w/ raspberry jam! Mmmm... I love fresh baked croissants.

I also figure I probably won't be having sugar for atleast a month before my wedding lol so I'll probably put myself into a diabetic coma the morning of :S

Stuffed french toast - possibly my most favorite/most-picked dessert of all time. With some eggs and yogurt. And hot chocolate, even though my wedding is in june! Really, I just love breakfast, so anything would probably be delicious :-)

denver omellette with cheddar cheese and cinnamon swirl french toast with cinnamon sugar.  And a very TALL vanilla latte.

On my actual wedding morning I had about two bites of scrambled eggs, a piece of toast and two mimosas

What about quiche?  Easy to prepare ahead of time, lots of protein, easy to transport, and can be served hot or cold.  There are some good recipes on the Cooking Light magazine website.  That would pair well with some fruit and some sort of bread/baked good.

daniellemybelle posted about the creme brulee french toast she is having at her brunch reception. That sounds super yummy. So does crepes with strawberries, whipped creme, powdered sugar & butter. So does a belgian waffle...

I love breakfast. I'm not sure I could eat any of this on my wedding day because I need my stomach to be as flat as possible:-) but it sounds really good!

I like a little bagel with my cream cheese. Seriously I love cream cheese.
I would probably want something light like bagels on my wedding day. I'll be too anxious/nervous for anything heavy. Maybe some apple slices, and something with protein.

thanks everyone! Well, the salon everyone is getting ready at is too expensive for me, plus my SIL is a stylist (freeeebie!!!) so I am getting ready at 8 to meet everyone else at like 930 or 10:00 so I'm hoping I can leave whatever I make in my car for like, 2 hours. eek. I totally want this french toast recipe for something else tho =-]

Waffles. Belgian ones. With strawberries on the side and a pot of Earl Grey tea with cream and sugar. Maybe just half a waffle and a small omlette, actually.

the last time I had good pain au chocolat was in Montreal. It's so hard to find good french pastries in Vancouver!! Sometimes I cheat and make my own PATHETIC version. It holds me over... but barely.

lol basically its a bakery croissant, melted chocolate chips, crushed hazelnuts & raspberry jam. Sigh.

The best bacon, fried egg and cheese sandwich with a glass of oj and ice. I plan on having it on the big day as well, since there is a place in Seaside that has the best breakfast sandwiches!

almond croissants, rosemary red skinned home fried potatoes, bacon, and an avocado/spinach/artichoke/feta omelette. MMM!

As far as something to take with you - i think some kind of good pastry, muffin, or croissant sounds good. How about adding some fresh fruit?

MMMM, Kate! I love egg sammies. I like mine with FRIEd bologna though. Weird, eh?

I'm definitely thinking these chocolate-raspberry-hazelnut croissants and maybe a simpler flavored one is good. Fruit is good, too--i was actually thinking about making those bride and groom strawberries that Melanie from that Sweet and Saucy shop posted about! Or is it Melody? Well, you know who I mean =]. nThat lady with all the gorgeous food who tells us how to make them all =]

Hey, thanks for the shout-out Arizona Bride! Even though we are having a brunch reception, I'll need to get something in my stomach in the morning. It will probably be a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese -- something we're not having at the reception.

My dream would be my mom's heirloom recipe sweet cinnamon rolls with scrambled eggs and ham.  I asked, but there just won't be time to worry about sweet rolls with everything else going on.

In your situation, I say coffee cake and maybe sliced fruit?  Starbucks has those marvelous cardboard jugs of coffee too.

I'd go for quiche (turkey sausage, swiss cheese & spinach) and fresh berries (strawberries, blackberries, red & golden raspberries, blueberries...). Lots of water and a perfectly brewed pot of tea to drink!

Waffles! No, crepes with fresh fruit.... no, with lemon juice and sugar (hey that matches my color scheme! Score!)... no, waffles.... eh I can't decide :)

But there'd certainly be tea with it.
