There are SO many cute/beautiful/artsy/stunning engagement photo shoots on the bee! How did you find the inspiration for your engagement photos? I’m doing a two-fer poll here… first few are where you found your inspiration, next few are what i think ive seen as some of the most popular engagement photo shoot settings, vote for your inspiration and if your shoot was at one of these locations! (or other, of course.)
And please, feel free to post some of your favorite pics. I would love to see em!

I took a lot of my inspiration from pinterest, the bee, other blogs. We took our pictures at a park and it was beautiful. Here are some of my favorites.

Pinterest helped a lot. We took our photos in the place we got engaged. It’s a pretty popular town square and I actually did a google search looking for engagement photos taken there — that helped a lot. In the end, though, it was really our photographer that helped us decide what to do for our photos.

I didn’t discover weddingbee or pinterest until AFTER our e-shoot. My photog was willing to do anything, but he mentioned he loved shooting in the super cute down town area of the small town we live in. Our church is in the middle of the down town area, so we did it there. I didn’t want cute pictures, I wanted sexy pictures. I made sure Fiance and I were dressed to actually show our personality.
In a way, I wish I had pinterest before our shoot because there are some amazing ideas, but even though we didn’t have a set plan, I can’t imagine our photos showing our personality any better. To do something different, it was the photog’s idea for us to get in the fountain. He said he always wishes a couple would do it, but no one would…well, I’m that person, LOL! Here are a couple:

We didn’t have any particular poses we wanted. We just wanted a place that represented us. We took our e-pics at a farm / apple orchard. I come from a long line of farmers plus it was fall when we had our e-pics taken. We got some great shots with tractors, bales of hay, barns, and of course the orchard.
I had sent my photographer a list of generic places we wanted our e-session, such as “farm” or “apple orchard”. She was the one who came up with the exact location and was super excited because it’s one of her favorite places to shoot and she hadn’t been there in awhile.

@couawilou: i love the pic with the car! And the blue wash in your first photo (unless it just looks blue on my phone. In any case i love it!)
@pccl: yay for spontaneity! I definitely hope to have a couple of those.
Thank you everyone for posting, and thank you for pics!

We knew what we wanted to do for our e-shoot…a picnic with 3 outfit changes. Fiance wanted to use his guitar so he can play music for me. We knew we wanted a lush outdoor setting since we wanted to stay away from traditional South Florida locations/settings. I ran a google search of what we wanted to do and it gave me a good idea as to what we can do for our picnic. We weren’t even thinking of poses or shot ideas until I stumbled upon some great pictures on Pineterest. Our photographer encouraged us to let her know any ideas we wanted to do during our e-shoot so I sent her some of my pins. She took note of the ideas we wanted and worked her magic….the pics looked better than the pins I sent her!

Pinterest and weddingbee were my biggest inspiration sources, especially for poses/angles. We also incorporated a special place to us (the Starbucks where we met). Our second destination was Central Park (one of the prettiest places around), but our awesome photographer took pics along the way – in front of the sculture outside, by the subway, etc. I loved the mix of settings we ended up with 🙂
I would definitely recommend being open to taking pics wherever you can during your session, even in transit!

we were trying to decide on where to have our engagment photos done, our photographer mentioned an art museum that is in our state capital, it has BEAUTIFUL grounds. so we went to check it out and decided it would be a lot of fun 🙂 It ended up being the coldest day of the year and rainy, but we got some great shots in! it was perfect, im so glad we asked her oppinion, here is one from that day…. we didnt know at the time but it was like a prevew to our wedding day which was also cold (high of 60 at the end of april, better then hot, and very clowdy, which made for great pictures as well) here is one from our session!
