What’s your favorite detail from your own wedding? What are you planning to have that you will NEVER give up? For me, its our smoothie and omelette stations! I think they are going to really set apart our brunch reception from all buffet receptions my friends and family will attend this summer.

Smoothie and omlette stations! Wow, that’s really unique. My favorite detail was our cake. It was yummy and unique.

Now I want a smoothy station! What a neat idea!
We’re playing lawn/board games at our wedding. I think most people won’t have been to a wedding with games 🙂

This is not one of our planned details, but it’s the only thing that really stands out. Our rabbi announced that only God can be trusted to be a matchmaker, and added an aside “well, God and Kenyon College,” which is where both of our older siblings met their spouses and where we met. I laughed so hard.

paper, paper and paper! i soooo love stationery, and am super excited to have everything match from start to finish, and im not talking just the normal stuff. match box covers, cigar bands, envelope liners, bar menus, mailers with addresses and such on it, save the date, invite, reception cards, valet tags, door tags for hotel guests, and the list goes on.
we are also having an espresso bar since my parents are dry by consume tons of coffee. its a suprise for them, and i know they’ll love it!

Real roses, our wine and beer bar, and an actual meal. All things my mom thinks we should compromise on for budget saving. Not happening!

Wow, you all have some cool details! I would love an espresso bar too since we are doing a morning wedding but we ended up going with the smoothie bar since it will be outside and summer.
soonerpsych, I wouldn’t compromise on the real flowers either! My mom had fake flowers at her winter wedding, and even though they look beautiful in photos, there is something so bridal about the fragrance of a bouquet!

My favorite details were probably our colors. My husband and I got the weirdest looks when we told everyone we were using blue and orange, but it looked so pretty, especially since it was outside. We put curtains in the archway in those colors, the flowers, the cake, as well as blue punch and blue and orange white chocolate popcorn. I believe the colors were the only thing that stayed throughout the entire planning progress, something we didn’t have to change or compromise on.

I know it sounds selfish, but my dress. Even when we downscaled from a venue wedding to a JOP wedding I decided (with the help of the hive) to still wear my dress. :O)
