I also have a hankerchief with lace edge, but it was given to me at birth so it's my something old too. My Mom attached a poem explaining the meaning and sent it to me as a total surprise.
My mom found an old necklace that belonged to my grandmother, and as a child, I used to play with it a lot. It is made of rhinestones, and looks very vintage. My mom had it made into a bracelet and earrings for me to wear. I love that I will have something that my grandmother with me on my big day since she can't be there!
It's not even something I'm wearing! I'm most excited about the necklaces I bought for my bridesmaids to wear at the wedding. We're doing a vintage hollywood theme and I want all of the jewelry to look vintage. I found these necklaces at the Limited on clearance for $6.99 each! I snapped up the last three (I have three attendants... it was meant to be!).
The picture doesn't do them justice. The flower petals are mirrors. They're so cute!
I really liked my veil... It was just a regular, two tier elbow length veil, nothing special, just the plain edge, but for whatever reason, I adore it! I also had a birdcage veil that I liked, but the other one just really made me feel like a bride!
My custom made earrings! It is a tradition in my fiance's family for the groom's family to get the bride jewelry for the wedding.
Among the things I chose, I got custom made diamond and pear drop earrings that I am wearing with my dress! So excited!
My 'right hand ring' which also is my something old. Its my grandma's engagement ring from my poppy (who sadly passed away when I was younger) we are very close so for her to give me this ring it means wonders to me! I am actually going to have the ring re-made and made into one of my wedding bands. I am so excited
My favorite accessory is probably the necklace my daddy gave me to wear on my wedding day. And the hankie that my mom made for me when I was a baby. I have some thoughtful parents!
My grandmothers rosary. Both grandparents on my fathers side have passed on and it meant a lot to me , and my dad to have something of them be a part of the wedding. I tried to attach a link but picasa is not being friendly.
I just wanted to say "I love doctorgirl's shrug"
My favotire one so far is my hairflower and I still dont have my something old :(
I haven't quite figured out how to incorporate these, but I'll be somehow wearing a pearl charm my paternal grandma gave me and a rosary (or another a silver charm) my maternal grandma gave me. Sadly, both passed away in recent years and I couldn't imagine my wedding day without them...I'm thinking about sewing them onto my bouquet handle or to my dress in some way.
Thanks Frenchbulldog and Joy! I love it so much (and the friend who commissioned it for me!). I should say that it was lovingly made by Holly Stalder on Etsy :)
My great-grandmother's opal ring. Although I'm under strict instructions to hand it over after pictures as it's very fragile.
Mine was my bracelet! I got it off Etsy from Bella Nouelle. It was the Sabrina. Everybody was in awe of it and complimented it, saying it was the icing on the cake.
Grr doctorgirl! Grr! Your dress was one thing, but now the shrug?? *sigh* The photographer won't know what to shoot first I swear. You and you're gorgeous choices.
;) ;)

What's your favorite of your wedding day accessories?
My favorite was a hankerchief that belonged to my Grandpa. My mom gave it to me as my "something old" and it made me remember my late Grandpa all day as I carried it with me.
