I just got married 3.5 weeks ago, and I’m already starting to think about what I’d like to say in my speech at my sister’s wedding in 2015. I’d like to try and make it funny/clever, but we’ll see. At our wedding, my brother in law gave a hilarious speech to my husband about how to keep his wife happy since happy wife = happy life! I thought it might be cute if we continued the theme and I called my husband up to join me during my speech at my sister’s wedding and impart some “wisdom” from our first year of marriage to the newly weds.
Now I’ve only been married a few weeks, but by the time she gets married it’ll be just about a year. But I am an eager beaver and want to collect ideas early.
So what would your clever/witty/funny advice to a bride be?? Help a sister out, ladies!

I’m also thinking I’ll call my husband up for this part of the speech and we could do some funny back and forth or something…. Ideas?

Rather than ending up in an argument just, ‘smile and say yes darling’, sometimes through gritted teeth lol.

Just be careful not to accidentally turn it into a speech that is about you and your husband- keep the focus on the bride and groom. Sorry but this is my #1 pet peeve about wedding speeches
I don’t really like all those silly gendered jokes so I’m not that helpful. Um, have lots of sex?

At my friend’s wedding, her sister made them say funny vows to one another. EVeryone from promising to let him play xBox/her watch the Kardashians, to wearing socks to bed when your feet are cold, stuff like that. Not really advice, but it was hysterical.
