i dont know what it is but i just LOVE bird cages. they look old and vintage and i love it.
i found this one at Michaels and just had to buy it. it was only $1. ive been trying to think of ways to incorporate them into my decor but am coming up blank!
i dont know what just popped the idea into my head as i type this but now im thinking maybe i could put “love birds” as are in my card cage in it and just make em pretty and set em on the gift table or something?

Or you could put votive candles (like the one sitting behind it) inside for centerpieces?

I love this. It would be pretty at your escort card table, guest book table or anything. even two of them as altar arrangements would be beautiful. If you like this look, you can get a hammered metal spray paint and spray yours.

we already have our centerpieces
kate169– that is a great idea

People could put cards in there like a wishing well

I just bought one at a thrift store for $8 and I thought I did well! Great find :). We’ll be putting a ribbon on ours and using it as the card box. I’m not sure how we’ll get across the idea to our guests that that’s what it’s for, but maybe I’ll stick a fake envelope in there or something ;).

i probably should have mentioned that it is a very small bird cage. you can see a votive in the back. its about as tall as 2 of them.

It looks like the top opens up. If you decide to put a candle in there, I would definately open the top because if not, the heat will heat up the metal and could burn someone. I’d put some fake moss in the bottom around the candle. If your linens are white, you might want to think about spray painting it a different color to make it pop while on the tables. Maybe the color of your bridesmaids dresses to make it fun. If you needed table numbers, you could put some of the moss in the top when it’s open then make a table number on cardstock and place it in the “nest”. Best Wishes!
