@FutureMuniz:  Maid of Honor: Best Friend, met in highschool, go to the same lake. We have very similar personailities, we’ve been friends for over 8 years now & she truly just makes me laugh & I have such a good time with her. We’ve had our ups & downs over the years but in the end she means the world to me & I couldn’t pick a better person.

Bridesmaid: Cousin, we’ve been close since we were kids, shes only a few years older then me. We always told each other that we are going to be in each others weddings when the days come. She’s been there since I was born, she was a great friend growing up, we Ukrainian danced together. Our lives are a little busier now so we don’t see each other a lot, but we take the time to text a “hey, hows it going?” and shes my cousin! She was like the sister I never had, and she always will be.

Bridesmaid: Old Suzy Shier coworker/boss, K is a little older then me mother of 2 boys & she is the nicest, sweetest, most caring friend out there. I started working at Suzy when I was in highschool & her & I just clicked. Her family has become a part of ours, I just can’t say anything about K, love her to death!

I have 5 BM’s, but I will just mention the Maid/Matron of Honor here:

Maid/Matron of Honor: We’ve been best friends for over 15 years.  Went to the same college, ended up in the same city post graduation, we were NFL cheerleaders together, she’s essentially my sister.  I don’t get a ton of support from my family, so to me she is my family and I can talk to her about anything.  We have SO much in common so we can always relate to each other and understand each other. πŸ™‚

At my first wedding I had my best friend as my maid of honor. She had been there for me through everything and has always been like a sister to me.

This time around (I’m marrying the man I have been best friends with for over 10 years) I am having my aunt be my Matron of honor.  She joined our family 7 yrs ago and has never felt fully accepted & granted I’ve havent been the most accepting either.  (My uncle got remarried a year after his 1st wife passed away)  I think this is one of the best ways of saying you are a part of this family and are loved.  For my maid of honor I have ask my sister, and would like to have her oldest daughter be a jr. bridesmaid.  However, due to her living 9 hrs away we don’t know if they are going to be able to even attend.  πŸ™

I have 9 girls, but I’ll just keep it real short!

Maid/Matron of Honor – My younger sister, she was the obvious choice! We fought and hated each other when we were little, but once we moved out of our parents house we became close. She’s been very helpful so far, and I’m more on the quiet/shy side.. so I know she’ll have my back and stick up for me, if need be! She’s not afraid of anyone!

Bridesmaid or Best Man #1 – We’ve been best friends for almost 10 years, we’ve been thru thick & thin and have always come out best friends.. we swear we share a brain! She always has my back!!

Bridesmaid or Best Man #2 – Another friend I’ve known for 10 years, we’ve become especially close the passed 5 or so years.. she’s just great!

Bridesmaid or Best Man #3 – Friend for many years, I was in her wedding–she was the first in our group to get married.

Bridesmaid or Best Man #4 – Friends for many years, we were all in her wedding last summer. She’s moved an hour away, so we don’t see her often, but when she comes around it’s like she never left.

Bridesmaid or Best Man #5 – My best friend at work.

Bridesmaid or Best Man #6 – My gym buddy, also the wife of one of Fiance best friends.

Bridesmaid or Best Man #7 – Younger cousin, she was a last minute add-on because Fiance has too many damn friends.

Bridesmaid or Best Man #8 – Younger cousin, same as above.. but I’m happy they’re in it now, they are both so excited, and not too young, they’ll both be 20 at the wedding.

They’ve all been GREAT & I can’t wait to be with all of them the day of the wedding!

MoH: my younger sister who is just super awesome in about 1000 different ways. We don’t always get along, but I can always count on her to help me when I need it, and I try to spoil her whenever I can. About a year ago my Mr and I had some issues getting home from a weekend out of town; the airline called to say our incoming plane was late and that would make us miss our connection, so they rerouted us through a different city, and we’d planned to take Amtrak the rest of the way home. Well as luck would have it, that plane was also late, and we were going to miss the last train home, and all area hotels were booked up, so I IM’ed my sister from the plane (inflight wi-fi rocks) and she drove 150 miles to pick us up, and another 150 to take us home. Yeah, she rocks. For Christmas last year I used my airline miles to get her a business class ticket to Paris πŸ˜€

Two bridesmaids: I honestly don’t know how long I’ve known these fine ladies because I can’t remember when we actually met. It goes back to the 80’s or so with one. Either way, it’s been at least a decade of good times, and we’ve helped eachother through hard times, been on many vacations together, gone shoe shopping together, many cocktails, you name it. Just two super awesome friends!

Matron of Honor: my sister! She is amazing. Our minds think alike. She is rocking my world with my BS and BP! She live 2.5 hours away but sitll contacts me almost every day to ask how my wedding plans are going!

Bridesmaid: my best friend! She has been amazing, as well. She has lives in the same city as me, so she has been putting up with all my ideas and be there for me for all of my crazy ideas and shopping trips!

Maid/Matron of Honor and only attendant – my daughter πŸ™‚  We’re having a destination wedding and I am also taking my sister and my best friend.  Fiance is taking his two brothers and best friend.  I almost wish we could just cancel the reception at home and spend another $10,000 entertaining our friends during the destination wedding.  We have the very best wedding party.

I had so many of them and the only one I have something negative to say about is the one who dropped out practically before I could even ask her because she was out of the country when we got engaged and was offended that she didn’t get a personal phone call that we were engaged because she was overseas. She thinks we should’ve called her to tell her before we got engaged that we were going to be getting engaged. The rest of my bridal party were my sister, cousins and closest friends. They were all unbelievably supportive and amazing. I had too many to list all of them here but I loved my bridesmaids and was honored that they stood up with me.

Maid/Matron of Honor and only attendant – My best friend since kindergarden.  She’s been the sister I never had.  We’ve had our ups and downs, but we always stuck together!  She’s always been honest with me and helped me through some of the tough times.  I always knew she’d be my Maid/Matron of Honor and I couldn’t imagine not having her by my side on my big day!  She helped out as much as she could while going to school full time 2 hours away, threw me the best bachlorette and even spent the night with me before the wedding, even though her boyfriend got pissed that she left him for the night. πŸ˜‰

Maid/Matron of Honor: My best girl friend from high school.  We don’t keep in touch that well living in different states and both being a little solitary, but she’s definitely one of my best friends and so excited to be MOH!

Bridesmaid #1: My best girl friend from college.  Suuuch a sweetie pie, I asked her twice to make sure she could be a bridesmaid considering she lives halfway across the world in Japan!

Bridesman #2: My best guy friend from high school.  If I didn’t have my Maid/Matron of Honor, he would probably be my “Man of Honor”!  Super great friend who I don’t see often enough now that he lives out of state too.

Bridesman #3 (maybe): My other best friend, I met him in high school through Bridesman #2 and he’s turned into a very close friend over the years.  I’ve given him the option to be photographer or Bridesman, but told him he can wait until after he is photographer of a mutual friend’s wedding coming up soon to decide.  I hope he decides to be part of the bridal party, I really want all 4 of my best friends from different friend groups (although #2 and #3 are same group) to be by my side for the wedding!!

I have a bridesmaid whom I only recently met however in the short time I’ve known her, she’s put up with so many of my wedding antthat and proved that she’s ever so loyal… When I had a bridesmaid back out for personal reasons… I decided to ask her to step in… And with no surprise, she was delighted to. She is not my go to person for everything. She is so creative, helpful, supportive, a good listener blah blah blah…. The list goes on and on

LOVE this thread.

My Maid/Matron of Honor is my best friend, she is completetly independant, outspoken and very loyal. She’s actually 4 years younger, we met at the grocery store we worked at while we were in high school. We both have a good sense of humour and get along really well. In fact, I’d go as far as saying she’s kinda crazy but I love it. She is SO exciting about being Maid/Matron of Honor and helping out. She’s amazing.

My two cousins who are 14 & 16 (15 & 17 at the time of the wedding) are both bridesmaids. We’ve always been really close and they are so excited to be part of my special day. They’re really grown up for their age and amazing girls, so I’m so happy to include them.
