It's sunday morning so I'm watching food network as I stalk the boards (since I don't get on here during the week very much anymore).
Sandra Lee is on and she drives me CRAZY. Her "tablescapes"... oh come on. Rachael Ray can also rub me the wrong way.
Who is your least favorite personality? (Regardless of their recipes. Sometimes both Sandra Lee and Rachael Ray can make some great stuff)
I HAAAAAAA...AAAAATE Bobby Flay.
SO MUCH.
He makes me seethe.
I think it's from the premiere of Iron Chef, where he jumps on the cutting board, and general toolery I get from him.
ETA: I'm also not fond of Alton Brown. He seems a bit stuck up and overrated.
Bobby Flay! He seems soooo arrogant.
My favorites are Paula Deen (even though her recipes are artery clogging :p) and Guy Fieri
All of them.
But my least least least least least favorite is Sandra Lee.Ugh.
I can't STAND Sandra Lee! She makes me absolutely bonkers... why does she even have a show? She's terrible, and doesn't even really cook! I love Food Network because it inspires me to try new things, not do things half-assed.
@Babyboo, I was trying to stay away from "arrogance", as I don't like using that word to describe people, but it fits Flay so well.
I can't stand Sandra Lee and Alton Brown...I do love Giada from Everyday Italian..she makes the food look so good and tasty ha
lol... Bobby Flay -- FI holds a grudge against FLay because his name was attached to a food festival that we went to that was AWES-FUL... awful.
Every time he comes on the screen FI starts yelling.. why are we watching this? Bobby Flay Sucks!
AH and Giada! She can drive me crazy with her man hands and they way she OVER pronounces things
Sandra Lee is horrible. Rachael Ray is slightly less horrible. Paula Deen is cute but her voice gets on my nerves so much. I don't really *like* Alton Brown, but I think Good Eats is pretty cool conceptually. I like Ina Garten's and Giada's recipes, but don't particularly enjoy watching them. I do love Cat Cora, though!
@GaBGal: hahahha man hands??? she does tend to over pronounce things, but the food looks great ...my bf is in love with her.
Ugh, I hate Sandra Lee. Just the thought of her putting vanilla extract in cool whip and calling it "semi-homemade" makes me want to punch her in the throat. I also can't stand Rachael Ray. I like Giada's show for the most part but the over the top Italian pronunciations make me cringe.
@Chipmunk.. YES MAN HANDS! Seriously, pay attention to her hands next time. FI also thinks she has an unusually large head. Kind of like a bobble head doll... lol
I hate Guy. I hate his hair, I hate his jewelry, I hate his annoying personality haha.
I hate how does does Saki Bombs during his show!
@Grace yes those pronunciations are annoying! She used to not do it so much about 5 years ago, now it's like all over the place! And it just sounds so fake italian... ugh!

I HATE Rachel Ray. How annoying can a person really be? She's really too bubbly and needs to take a Xanax.
Cannot Stand:
Rachel Ray - her voice grates on my last nerve and the large majority of her recipes are awful. Yummo is not a word. And btw half of the items in your pet recipes collection have ingredients that are toxic to dogs.
Sandra Lee - Crazy decorations lady but at least most of her cocktails are good.
Guy - has anyone realized that he signed his own fridge? Next time he is on look - he really did sign his own fridge.
Alton Brown - I find most of his food bland and boring.

Barefoot Contessa - most of her recipes are delicious and do not require ingredients that I need to go to Italy to find
Giada - Her food is good!
Alex's Day off - I am starting to really like that show.
Robin Miller - I want to have this kind of ability to make ahead for a week so I don't end up eating cereal for dinner.
I love food network....BUT I abs. cannot watch Alton Brown he annoys me so much I turn the TV right off....I agree with you all that we all could have a show called semi-homemade, Giada is annoying PANCHETTA lol, the neely's need to save it for the bedroom, Bobby is way overrated, Paula will give u a hard attack but she is cute and Ida n Jefferey make me wanna vomit lol but other than that I love it!!
alton brown is the one i usually avoid. but i haven't been watching the food network like i use to.
i think that i watch paula deen and guy fieri the most out of all the chefs. but i do like the food unwrapped as my favorite food network show.
I don't really watch Food Network anymore; I was really into it five or so years ago, but I'm sure all the personalities have changed since then.
I just have to say how much I HATE Rachel Ray. I hate her voice and the way that she sound like she's screaming half of the time. I hate "E.V.O.O." and "Yumm-o" and any other goofy things she says. I just think she's SO annoying.
Rachel. Ray. UGH. It's the voice and overenthusiastic personality. She doesn't seem passionate about food, she comes off as a chainsmoking food salesman a la Billy Mays.
Giada De Laurentiis, on the other hand, has good food, isn't grating, actually seems to enjoy cooking, and as a bonus, she has an awesome name and looks like Natalie Portman. Take notes, Rachel. Take many notes.
OMG I didn't think anyone didn't like Bobby Flay! LOL I just love him...I think he's sexy in a cute sort of way haha.
Sandra Lee, can't STAND her!!! The way she speaks and hangs on words before she says the next one. I can't even explain it, but it's like she never knows what the hell she's gonna say next!
I'm not into Guy either, really. He's just a little too much.
I like Rachael, LOVE Paula, and I think Alton is fun. Giada's accent on random words really annoys me too! Oh and something about Barefoot Contessa, ugh. Not a fan.

Alton Brown is annoying. I LOVE Giada. Don't really watch Sandra that much.
I dont like Rachel Ray at all. I also dont think her recipes are that great either. Not sure what the hype is all about.
I think Paula Dean's accent is a little too much for me sometimes. And her recipes.... ahh so much butter! They are good but come on lady, I don't plan on giving my guy a heart attack for Christmas.
I have a love-hate relationship with most of the cooks on Food Network.
Giada: "..aaaaaand.... aaaaand then... aaaaand..." ugh! I also hate how she takes these bites of food at the end, and they zoom in on her, and play funny music. It's like, the climax moment.
Guy: All he does is eat food. And says dumb things as he's doing it.
Barefoot Contessa: I like her food, but I HATE how she's always lovey-dovey with her husband and making lame jokes as she does it.
I do think Paula Deen is hilarious though. I once saw her make macaroni and cheese, wrap a slice of bacon around a chunk of it, and deep fry it.
Too many to list. Paula and Emeril are the only ones I like. The others drive me crazy mainly due to their personalities which come across as fake, as incredibly bubbly as they all are. However I don't currently have that channel so it's easy to ignore them. Alton's show is educational but that's pretty much all I get out of it. The one I could totally do without is Duff Goldman of Ace of Cakes. I had my sister watch it one night just to see how much I hated it and she totally agreed. Not sure what it is but the guy is completely full of himself and not afraid to show it and it doesn't do anything to help him. Most of the stuff they construct doesn't even look edible.
My FI has always said Giada looks like a bobble head doll too, LOL!!! I don't have a least favorite-- I think they all have their weird quirks, haha.
Well, I actually watch a lot of shows on Food Network but not the one's you guys are talking about. I watched Sandra Lee today and I have to agree - she is seriously annoying! I got a stomach ache just thinking about eating and drinking the stuff she was making. She calls that cooking? What's up with her not wearing an apron and standing 3 feet away from her dish sometimes avoiding getting something on herself?
I actually love Paula Dean's accent. I could listen to her all day. I have a fascination with Southern accents though. My cousins are from TN and I grew up in the west and I love practicing my fake Southern accent. No offense to anyone from the South. I just love the accent. I can't imagine eating the stuff Paula cooks on a regular basis, because it's not healthy, but I love her passion for food.
Not on Food Network, but I love the new series, "Chef Accademy" on Bravo!
Hmmmmm Sandra but she cracks me up with her cocktails after every show.. I guess I can deal with all of them.. LOL... but i don't like that dude who talks about where the food is from?? i forget the history of like popcorn.. i mean seriously?! and alton brown is ho-hum to me...
