I hate morning too. And I’m especially tired today since my cat wanted me awake since 2:30am! He’s lucky he’s so cute.

I shower, feed my kitty his breakfast, blow dry, do my hair and makeup, and get dressed. I usually surf or watch Netflix on my iPad while I’m doing this. I clean the litterbox and then I go to work – takes about an hour total. I can’t eat breakfast first thing – I usually bring fruit and eat a couple hours later at work.

I wake up at 6 to be to work by 8:30. I get up, turn on the coffeemaker, wash my face, go eat breakfast/check Facebook/WB/etc., go do my hair, put on makeup, get dressed, pack my lunch, snacks, etc., and I’m out the door by 8:10.

It’s 2 hours from the time I get up until the time I leave for work. In that time I take  a 30 minute walk and then stretch, eat breakfast with Mr. LK and chat with him for a bit, pack my lunch, shower, do my hair, do my make-up, and get dressed. If I am prepping a crockpot meal for the day, it’s more like 2:20 to get out of the house. I hate mornings.

Edit: During the school year I am up at 5:45am with DS to make sure he is up on time and gets to the bus. Since it’s summer break, my lazy butt refuses to get up before 6:30.

I wake up at 5am, I have to be at work by 7 and have a roughly 1 hour commute. I style my hair/do my makeup/ iron my clothes if needed, make coffee, walk the dog, make a quick lunch and head out the door by 6.

One ” trick” I use to help me in the mornings is that I do not use  a snooze button. When my alarm goes off, I get up– no questions asked. I also take my time getting ready ( 30 minutes of my hour is spent on makeup/hair, washing my face, cleaning up my eyebrows or whatever) and the other 30 minutes are pretty much getting the dog walked and making coffee.

I wake up at 5:40 to be at work by 9 (25 minute commute). I allow an hour to work out so that means a shower plus all the normal getting ready-ness. And cat feeding :o)

I get up at 4:15 everyday and will never get used to it.  What really throws me off is only sometimes will the dog wake up and need to be let out.  When that happens my routine is thrown off.

I style my hair, put some makeup on and get dressed.  I turn the coffee pot on (i prep it every night) and while thats brewing ill grab some snacks for lunch and throw them in my purse and put the news on to check traffc.  I drink my coffee with the tv on and sometimes browsing on my ipad.  I do all this at a snails pace.  I leave at 5:25.

I used to wash my face in the morning too but switched to night to save some time since my skincare routine is 4 steps before makeup.

I usually wake up 30-45 minutes before I leave and that’s plenty of time to shower, do my hair and makeup and then I typically just grab a granola bar for breakfast on the go.

Now that I’m pregnant though, I’ve been waking up earlier so I can lay in bed to combat nausea and have time to make and eat a good breakfast before leaving. I’ve also been making a lot of crock pot meals since I’m starving by the time I get home and too tired to make dinner, so I like to have time in the morning now to prepare dinner and throw it in the crock pot before I leave.

Great poll, you forgot “sit up and stare into space for at least 10 minutes wondering how the f*ck I’m going to get ready in just 25 minutes” lol

I shower, style my hair, put on make up, and try to pack breakfast/lunch (meal planning definitely helps).

It’s weird…I’d consider myself a morning person..but only because I’m cheerful. Other than that I’m pretty unproductive and I’m constantly rushing around like a madwoman before I run out the door to catch the bus/train.

I get up at 6:30, go to the bathroom, then I fire up my computer and check email/news/webcomics/WB while I fully wake up. Then I feed my guinea pigs, make my lunch and eat breakfast. Then I go wake up FI and cuddle with him a bit. We put the pigs in the bathroom to run around a bit and he showers, then I shower. While I shower he eats breakfast and dinks around on the internet. When I’m done showering I brush my teeth, coral the pigs, and make sure they have everything they need for the day. Then I get dressed and dry my hair if it’s winter. By then FI has finished eating and is dressed and he drives me to work.

I get up at 5:30/5:40 to be at work by 7:20. My commute is 45 minutes to an hour so I try to leave no later than 6:20.

This is my routine: I wake up, let the dog out, brush my teeth, rinse my face, do my makeup (primer, foundation, powder, bronzer, blush), do my hair (right now that means get it damp and scrunch with mousse), get dressed, go into the den to do my eye makeup (I keep it in my purse), make the dog’s breakfast, make a to-go cup of coffee, say bye to FI. I each breakfast at work around 8:30 while I’m working.

I hate the mornings. They’re very rushed but I honestly can’t wake up an earlier unless I go to sleep at 8pm and that just isn’t going to happen. So FI and I don’t get much morning time (like to eat together or anyting) but we get to spend more time at night than if I had to wake up earlier so it works for us.

I live 5 minutes from work which is SO nice.  I get up about 20 minutes before I have to leave.  I style my hair depending on how much time I have, somedays just spritzing with sea salt spray for texture, other times straigtening my hair.  I put on make-up and then head out.

Once school starts for the kids it will be different.  Their school is only 3 blocks from our house but I’ll have to wake up earlier to get them up and ready and drop them off before I head into work.  So in a few weeks I’ll have to get up at least an hour earlier.

I am very much a morning person (thank goodness). My morning routine is as follows:

5:30ish: daughter wakes up, “mmaaama! maaama!”

Get up, get daughter, change her diaper, plunk her on sofa, get her a sippy of milk.

Make breakfast for DD and I. Eat.

DD eats again with DH while I shower… lol

Get in shower, dry hair, do makeup.

    Dress DD for the day.

    Pack her bag for daycare.

    Get dressed
    Feed dog
    Tidy kitchen
Entertain DD until it is time to leave (like the most stressful part of the morning.. lol)

    7:30ish: off to work/daycare

@kgirl91:  Second that!  I get up about 20 minutes before I have to leave for work.  I have a 45-60 min commute.  I get dressed, brush my face, teeth, and hair, and put on base make up (unless I have a meeting I do more).  I feed the dog, then out the door.  I refuse to get up any earlier than I have.  I shower/bathe at night.  I do eat breakfast, have coffee, and take my daily medications once I get to work (saves some time).

I set my alarm for 6:45, get out of bed at 7 and leave my house at 7:30-7:35. Coffee is programmed the night before to brew on its own at 7:10. I shower and do my makeup, while it is the summer I dont blowdry my hair, just twist it in my fingers and it dries with a pretty wave to it. In the winter I set my alarm for 6:30 and snooz until 6:45 so I have time to blowdry my hair. I get dressed and grab my lunch (usually packed the night before) and I’m ready to go.

I eat breakfast at work everyday so that saved me extra time in the morning.
