What is you and your significent others song? My partner and I's song is Aint No Mountain High Enough. The version sang by the Swedish Pop Girl group, Play. We both are huge fans of Play and this song just speaks to us. The original and other versions are good, but it's Play's version that has more meaning to us as we met each other at a Play concert. You may not have heard of Play, so don't mind me.

Our song is Beyond the Sea, its been our song since a few months after we started dating and was our first dance song.  Our "second" song is Build Me Up Buttercup, they play it during the 7th inning stretch at Angels games and we always sing it together.  Its my ringtone for him and we did our recessional to it :)

Our real song (the first one we ever danced to) is Ignition by R. Kelly. That will totally be on the wedding playlist for later in the night, but not exactly first dance material! We'll be dancing our first wedding dance to Ingrid Michaelson's version of Can't Help Falling In Love.

We've got Shania's "From This Moment On" when we're being serious, but when we're acting like goofballs, we tend to like "Any Man of Mine." I'm a huge country fan and he doesn't really have any preferences about music type, so I tend to win on the radio station!

"Be a man" from Mulan.  We always end up singing it to each other, and then we can't get it out of our heads!

I would say ours is probably "Detlef Schrempf" by Band of Horses.  We also had a think for this Willie Nelson song, "Maria" for some reason.  :)

@Camrah: That's hilarious! My sisters and I love the songs from Mulan and we're always singing them to each other, haha. You must be swift as the raging river...

Our song is a toss up between Your Song (har har) by Elton and a number of Billy Joel songs (You're My Home, Just the Way You Are, She's Got A Way). We're all about the cheese. :)

Either Sam Cooke "That's Where It's At" or Beach Boys "God Only Knows." Honestly, the Beach Boys are way more my thing than my fiance's, but it's a pretty perfect song. Unsure.

Our first one was "Shining Star" by the Manhattans but since then we've added quite a few to our repertoire.. I guess "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz is the most important(?) one, since we text each other with "I'm yours" whenever we hear it on the radio.

We don't really have one song in particular, but we have lots of music that reminds us of each other.  FI's taste in music is what brought us together as friends in college and it's never gone away.

Ugh.  Don't laugh.  We met at a club, and I guess "our song" would be the first song that we danced to -- either "Golddigger" by Kanye West or "My Humps" by the BEP.  Our first dance song at our wedding is going to be a much more respectable "Better Together" by Jack Johnson.

So um, we're a silly couple. We were in a movie theatre & I was complaining about not having a song...

One of the previews popped up for Corbin Bleu's album (from HS Musical ahahaha) and it's called "Push it"

So just push it, push it
    To the limit, limit
'Cause I'm in it to win it, in it to win it
    Aww yeah

My FI turned to me & said "Baby, I'm in it to win it" meaning marriage. We've continued to say that every now & then. lol the entire song sounds kind of dirty. I can't believe pre-teen girls groove to this haha. Actually, I can't believe this is our song. lol

Ours is "Everything" by Michael Buble. When we first started dating he sent me a link to the song and said it reminded him of me, and it just kind of stuck.

Our song is by Rascal Flatts 'The Day Before You'. It was never a single but if anyone has the album with God Blessed the Broken Road its on that...its similar to that song and its so fitting for where we were at when we met and where we are now. It will be our first dance, i know im gonna cry!!

We don't really have a song.  We like too many!  But if we had to choose, it'd probably Lover's Concerto by the Toys http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGDZc9bdUZM  or, when we're feeling goofy, Rocket Man, rendition by William Shatner (yes, the Shat) circa 1978  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NN3MGN899yE

You can't deny the power of the Shat!

Our song would have to be 'By the Boab Tree' from the movie Australia. That movie came out right when we were becoming more than friends. A theme of the story is "I will sing you to me." Before I first went to visit him Down Under he'd sing a little of it to me every day so he could 'sing me to him.' It worked!

@camrah- that's hilarious! My sister and I love Mulan, and I think we know all the words to every song. haha... that's awesome. :)

we just decided on "Happy Together" by the Turtles. We're both into the oldies, and we were being nerds and listening to this song the other day and dancing around the living room... and it's perfect! the lyrics are great. i'm excited :)

We love Michael Buble but the song we sing to each other (and pretend that we can harmonize with each other to) is Lady Antebellum's "I run to you". He always turns down the radio to try and catch me singing off key.

Our song is 3 Shades of Beautiful by Dazy Head Mazy. We'd been dating about a year when he emailed it to me saying that every time he heard it he thought of me. One of the lines from the chorus is "I have a woman in mind, she is 3 different shades of beautiful, 3 different shades of wonderful, and I'm going to marry to you."

I melted on the spot and its been our song ever since. We're going to dance to it at the wedding. :)

Well... I think we both have different ideas of our song!  And then there's the 3rd....

Random yet not really it important song: Journey, "open Arms"

His idea of our song: Byan Adams, "Heaven"

My idea: Fred Aistaire "Dancing Cheek to Cheek."

But really, if you think about it...."Heaven" and "cheek to cheek" are similar.

"Heaven" "Baby your all that I want, when I'm lying here in your arms, finding it hard to believe, we're in heaven."

"Cheek to Cheek." "Heaven, I'm in Heaven, And my heart beats so that I can hardly speak, And I seem to find the happiness I seek, When we're out together dancing cheek to cheek"

Two songs, though we aren't having dancing at the reception.  Our songs are:

Lemonade by Chris Rice (just kinda happened while walking through a casino & stuck ever since)

"What I really want to say" by Steven Curtis Chapman

Well the Steven Curtis Chapman one is more his song to me.  If you don't know it, look it up.  The lyrics are beautiful. Embarassed

Ummm... the first time I met FI we were out at a club and we danced to "Gold Digger" and "My Humps".  Does that make those "our songs"?  I hope not...

At our wedding our first dance song will be "Better Together" by Jack Johnson.

we've dated for 8 years and originally we had a song by Creed - can't remember the title.  Now it's "Don't stop believing" by Journey!  We play it over and over and over and sing our hearts out.

We never really had a song until just recently... we saw Jersey Boys, and thus our song has become "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" by Frankie Valli.  It's such a timeless classic - we love it... especially me!

I think we're using "To Make You Feel My Love" by Adele, it makes me cry.

Ironically our song from back in the day is "When The Stars Go Blue" the Corrs/Bono version, I know a lot of people use it for a wedding song. He's still trying to convince me to use "Just Breathe" by Pearl Jam too - hah!

There's a song that's been running on a radio station that's 24/7 Christmas music - it's called "The Gift" by Susan Ashton & Collin Raye. It's a little too mushy for FI but I think the lyrics are really pretty.
