Your wedding's in May, so it is still a springish/summer wedding, I think those colors would go together wonderfully!!! And the good thing about this is, the ladies can wear their dress again :) Great idea!!!
I really like it! Those are some pretty colors and I haven't seen them anywhere yert. And all those dresses are really gorgoues.
I think its a great idea! Maybe for your guidelines you could suggest what style of dress that way no one is wearing a formal style and the others are a little more casual but I like the colors.
Those colors are really beautiful together...I love the pop of yellow...were using yellow too! Lemons in the centerpieces and yellow calla lilies for the bridesmaids and mothers
i like the bottom set of colors better than the top set. Looks like fun!
Thanks for the feedback! :)
The guidelines I plan on giving them are:
1. Approximately knee-length
2. Nothing too cleavagey
3. Minimal if any sparkle/shine
4. More of a romantic/flirty feel than a slinky/sexy feel
I think those are great guidelines and they should definitely be able to find something that they like and that you are happy with. :)
Love it! I love the first set of dresses, I would wear any of them wedding or not!
@buttons - One of the girls is a redhead and she loves how she looks in purple, so I think I'll put her in purple. As far as the other two, one is a total girlie fashionista and the other is my sister who doesn't care about fashion at all. I'll let the girlie girl friend choose her color, and then my sister will wear whatever I tell her to. :) Easy peasy.
Wow, love the colors...now does each girl have coloring that makes her look good in whatever color you are putting her in? Great colors for a May wedding for sure.

So the wedding colors are pretty bright: yellow, magenta, and purple.
I had the idea that each of my three attendants could wear a dress in one of those colors (I plan on letting them buy whatever they want within a certain set of loose guidelines), and then I could tie their looks together with matching bouquets.
I Photoshopped this together just to get some ideas of how it might look, but I want to know what other people think.
By the way, that bouquet is from afloral.com and I love it so much that I'm kind of considering going with faux flowers!!
