Ugh… rude co-workers who said you were fat simply do not have tact.

I did have a few guys say that I really gained a lot of weight since the last time they saw me… but in those cases, they didn’t know I had a baby.  When I moved the stroller to the front of me for them to see my baby, their facial expression was priceless!

Holy hell, who says that?!  If not too shocked to come up with a response, I’d just say “And you’re incredibly rude!!”

KeeKalena:  Wow! How RUDE of them! If somebody called me fat to my face like that I would really have some choice words

What did you say?

oh and I have similar coworkers. They feel like they can comment on everything and anyting about me. Being a younger female somehow makes poeple think they can just say whatever the hell they want! So annoying and what I started doing after about 4 years is just flat out ignore them.

KeeKalena:  When my adult acne first started breaking through in my mid 20s people were wretched to me. I was asked if I had chicken pox by a co-worker (as if I’d go to work with chicken pox), after receiving some family photos my Grandma sent me a Proactiv kit without asking me if I wanted one, my parents payed for me to see a dermatologist because they thought it would ruin my chances of getting a better job. All as if I didn’t own a mirror.

I used to be 50 pounds heavier, one year I was going to be Cher for Halloween (from the ‘Turn Back Time’ music video but minus the thong body suit LOL). Anyway I was talking about it with my family and my uncle says ‘Wow that’s brave considering what different body types you two have!”

Cue me trying not to bottle him…

I don’t understand what compells people to say things like that. Two and a half months after I had DD my uncle says to me, “I noticed you still haven’t lost all your baby weight.” Ya think?! I spent 41 weeks gaining this weight, it just doesn’t disappear! In hindsight, I wish I’d used a good comeback about how I could lose the weight but he could never get his hair back. 😛

I am not sensitive to this sort of stuff, but I probably would have been a few years ago. I find myself happier with my body post pregnancy than I ever was pre pregnancy and smaller! Not everyone is like me though. To some people, this could be very hurtful and damaging. People need to keep those things to themselves.

ETA: I also had someone ask me when I was due and this was a week and a half after I had DD. DH and I looked at each other, then the stroller and back to the guy. He gestured to my belly. Like, what?! We’re just pushing this stroller around for practice?!

KeeKalena:  do we work in the same office? yes. I have one of those. I get that we see these people everyday, but we are not friends. We are co-workers. I am very worried about how my body will look post-pregnancy. I am going to keep up a routine to workout as much as possible and to also work out post pregnancy after I get the okay from the doc.

I hate rude people!!!!

Aquaria:  Holy hell that is so awful. I am sorry you had to go through that 🙁

KeeKalena:  Some people have 0 filters and can be incredibly rude. I am sorry you had to hear such horrible comments.
