What are your plans for $10,000?!?!?!?
I had to read really closely to figure out the game! That's awesome! Congrats! What are you going to do with the 10k?
I don't get it either, none of your numbers match the winning numbers. So what's the catch?

it took me a minute to figure out why everyone was saying you won $10K, but i see now! (its the GL). congrats! omg, i never bought a lottery ticket during my wedding planning because i thought it was just wasting money, now i wish i had, LOL. congrats!!! i hope you do something FUN!

Not to rain on your parade but make sure to save some of this money for taxes if taxes aren't withheld.
Ok, I have to admit that I've always hated the lottery, especially scratch-offs, because I used to manage a convenience store. I would see so many folks spending ungodly amounts of money that just went down the drain IMO. I'm the type to buy 1 ticket when the Mega Millions goes to over $300 million and that's it, but my fiance used to win all the time when he played at my store (that's how we met). He'd tip me $20 when he'd win, but the most he ever won was like $500.
Anyway, after we got together I started managing our money and decided his little hobby of buying scratch-offs was not a great idea. So he cut back A LOT.....until today! He needed some change for the barber shop and bought one of these for $10. It was a free ticket so then he got the next one, and yep it's $10,000!!!!!!
I'm still in shock, and now I have to go finish cooking dinner, lol. But I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW, after looking on the GA Lottery website we found out that they will take 31% in taxes right off, so we'll only get $6,900.......but that's still OK!!!!

@AudzinLuv: Oh wow, this is great! Your story actually sounds a lot like mine in that I have worked for convenience stores since I as 18 (currently in college) & always hate to see money wasted on tickets. But my SO also loves playing them, so when we got together I had to cut him back to virtually spending nothing on them!
We always say how cool it would be to hit it big & have the money to have our wedding and buy our rings sooner rather than later. I'm excited for you & I hope this money goes to making some of your dreams come true!

At my first job, I worked in a gift shop. The front had magazines, newspapers, candy, and the lottery stuff. There was a guy we called "Lotto Man" and he came in multiple times per day for an arm's length of scrach off tickets. He didn't win all that much. I secretly hoped he'd win something huge and never have to play again.
At one point, money was being stolen from the front register and the owners installed a camera over it. I knew about it, but no one else did. They thought it was the young girl who lived in a home for runaways, but it was actually a guy who worked in the gift shop with me who had a serious lottery habit.
I buy a ticket once in a while, I have to admit. I never buy the scratch offs, though. Maybe I'll buy one next time. :)
@KatNewby: & @Jeannine @ Small Chic: LOL, so you guys know how frustrating many lottery fanatics can be! From my experience it was more the poor people buying buttloads of lottery, and I hated that. Gambling addictions are frightening to behold.
I'm just so thankful for this blessing because our family has struggled financially for the longest time. I recently posted about how I finally found a wonderful job that starts in a couple weeks, and now this......just want to say "Thank you, God!" And thanks to all my bee buddies, may y'all be blessed in some way, too.

I hate scratch cards and I have a good reason.
I almost never buy lottery tickets or scratch cards but one day when I was bored I decided to get one on my break at work. They were the Monopoly game ones (basically you had to get a matching section to win). I scratched the card and I had 3 matching areas, or so I thought. I got super excited, had my coworker look at it, she confirmed that they were the same and then I kind of lost it. I went to go claim my prize (10K) at the lottery office, so excited, couldn't wait and... I misread the one area because the font was SO damn tiny that I couldn't see the 2 letters that were switched around!!! womp-womp-womp.. No money but even better I had to go back to work next day to an office full of people asking what I was doing with it.
So yeah. I hate scratch cards.
Congratulations! I'm so happy for y'all! I was also excited to see "Georgia" on the lottery ticket...it gives me hope since I live in GA, too and hardly ever play the lottery. Maybe I will buy a scratch off!
Ooooo what you spending it on?! Congrats that's awesome! Good to know someone actually wins these things! Shame about the tax though- in the UK all lottery wins are tax free. If only I ever won anything lol
