Liking her style and experience I think are both very important. However, an experienced makeup artist should also be able to accomodate different styles and communicate with their clients.
Just remember that youtube gurus most of the time demonstrate by applying makeup on themselves but skill in applying on different kinds of faceshapes, bone structures, eyeshapes, skin undertones comes from experience and knowledge. Be sure to request to see her portfolio - makeup on other people (and not himself or herself)
Other important things that one needs to keep in mind when selecting a beauty vendor is, does he/she have sanitary practices? What I mean is, dirty brushes, double-dipping mascara, blowing on lashes and brushes (it's like spitting on your face!!! ewee!!!), not sanitizing lip liners and eyeliners.
Have a trial session and observe these, ask her questions and express your concerns. If she can address them and you love your look and feel great after the trial, then she is the right artist for you!

I've been following this girl's make up tutorial's on youtube for some time now. I LOVE the make up style that she does, but I know she's just getting into the wedding biz, so she's not as experienced...
Should experience be higher priority than liking the make up style?
