I think I’d like zip up on that dress. Having said that, you should go with what you’d prefer.

Your dress is so classic and beautiful! I think the zip would look nice on that dress because of how classic and simple it is!

I like the lace up because it allows for size change. Deff not skanky IMO

I also wanted to ask if you know thats a knock off website and the dress wont be exactly like the picture. Not that there is anything wrong with it! Just wanted to give you a heads up incase you didnt know!

Stick with the zip up for sure!  Don’t think a lace up will suit it.

I vote for a zipper; I think it will compliment the dress nicely.

I don’t think that lace up would look bad at all, but I prefer the savings on alterations and the safety of the lace up. I am in the same “I plan to lose weight” category, but what if you can’t? It s much harder to take a dress out then to bring it in. I would buy it in your current size at least if you are doing a zipper. If you do lose the weight side seams aren’t too spendy, and if you don’t your dress still fits! Or, you can get a lace up (in your current size) and be safe either way!

I got lace up on my gown and got it in my current size though I hope to lose the dreaded 15 lbs. My dress would have looked better with a zipper, honestly but I can’t afford major alterations. I bought from an ebay china company and was very happy with the results.

That is a gorgeous dress BTW! 🙂

Have you tried on dresses yet? I was a 4 in zip but a 2 in corset. I would try some on somewhere if you havnt already!

Have you tried on both zip up and lace up gowns?  I was in the laceup are a bit declasse category until I tried one on – Scarlett O’Hara knew what she was doing because my figure looked AMAZING when laced up properly.

The corset definitely defines an hour glass shape and in that dress I think it would work
