Yes, bees, my waiting is finally over, and all it took were some zombies scaring the crap out of me to make him propose!!! 

We cuddled on the couch last night after taking the kids trick-or-treating (and raiding their candy, lol) and watched "The Walking Dead" on AMC.  It's a new series filmed in Atlanta about zombies, and I've been looking forward to its debut for so long.  I have always had a morbid fascination about zombies, and I get teased all the time about my fear and paranoia of them.  After the premiere was over, I was gushing about how awesome it was and how much I'd love to be cast as a zombie extra.  Wrapped up in my own little fantasy world, I didn't notice him get down on one knee with a little black box shaking nervously in his hand.

Imagine a big manly-man dude (6'2", size 3X) giggling like a school girl!  Of course, I got the giggles, too, and started kissing him and hugging him, and that went on for a couple minutes.  Finally, he told me to stop so he could talk, he literally took a deep breath to calm himself down, and then he asked if I would marry him.  It was the sweetest experience of my whole life, and just seeing him so nervous and genuine touched my heart.  Then the kissing, crying, and giggling started up again until he reminded me that I hadn't answered his question yet.  I hugged him hard and said, "Of course, you big goofball" and that's the beginning of our happily ever after!

My birthday was last Wednesday, and we went out to dinner on Saturday night to officially celebrate.  Turns out my fiance (wow, that sounds amazing and looks awesome on screen, too!) had bought the champagne because he was going to pop the question at the restaurant, but then he got too nervous in front of everyone.  He's so cute!

I was totally not expecting it until Christmas, and I didn't even realize he had bought it yet.  The last update I received from him was that he was still saving money for the ring fund, but recently he lost one of his 2 jobs, so money has been tighter than usual.  His sneaky butt had managed to put away more than I thought though.  I had given him about 5 of my favorite settings to choose from, and he picked the most beautiful one, I swear!  I love how gorgeous it is from every angle, and it's just perfect!

Thank you all for the sweet comments!  I've been walking around all day just gazing down at my finger, lol.  Wish my camera was of a higher quality so I could get a better picture, but I promise the ring sparkles like crazy and is a lot prettier in real life!
