It depends on if you are just picking up or if you have an appointment for alterations.  If you are going to be trying on the dress for a fitting, I would recommend a little make up and do something nice with your hair.  A lot of brides seem to go to the fitting after running around all day looking a little ragged and end up having dress regret.  If you are looking your best, you’ll feel amazing in the dress.

If you don’t have a fitting scheduled, you may not put the dress on in the store- for mine I just came in picked it up and took it home.

Either way ask them to take it out of the bag and check that there are no stains, snags, etc.  Also check that it includes any extras- corset ribbons, detachable straps etc.  (Mine came in missing the corset ribbon)

Have fun and make sure to share some pictures!

So exciting (and yay date twin!) I would say try the dress on with your bra and without it to see if cups would be a better option. Some dresses and body types work better with bras, and some with cups — just try it both ways to see what’s most comfortable.

I think the biggest thing to ask is how do I put this on?! My dress has a corset back that my sister and mom had to learn how to work. Also, if you’re having a bustle, bring someone to learn how to bustle it.

You have everything you need.  Make sure you try it on before you leave to make sure its the right size/ color/ style.  Most salons have you do this anyways but just make sure you do.
