Hi There,

I have just ordered my dress from Zoog, like everyone I was worried about buying a dress I had not tried on and buying from overseas using bank transfer as this is the only method of payment Zoog accept. So, I actually travelled to Israel to meet with the designer Sigi and Gal the client liason. I got back yesterday I went to Israel for 24 hours – only to see the dresses. Sigi and Gal could not have been more helpful – they were so nice, they even took me to the train station! Gal speaks perfect English and is really accommodating. First, the dresses are beautiful – even more beautiful in real life. They shape the body in a beautiful way. They are not for the faint hearted – you will need to be very comfortable with your shape as they are body-hugging. Before I went to Israel, I traveled all over the UK trying on Berta, Inbal Dror and Galia Lahav dresses, so I knew that body-hugging dresses would work for me. I suggest you get a good idea of whether this shape works for you before ordering from Zoog. Then I suggest you get a dressmaker to take all of your measurements so you know that Zoog has all the information they need. Zoog will take 30 working days to make your dress, but they can be flexible on this. They can also mix and match elements of different dresses if you want the skirt of one, with the top of another. A lot of their dresses e.g. 1407/1404 are actually a top with a body suit (you step into it) which has a skirt over the top, as this ensures a really tight fit and makes the top half very flattering. The cost is $5000 USD, I’m not sure why they are giving everyone a flat price, my guess is that they think it’s a bit too complex to introduce different prices and I also think Sigi would rather people choose a dress based on which one they like the most rather than which one suits their budget. That said, I’m getting extra embellishments and a belt on my dress at no extra cost and, having seen Berta/Inbal Dror/Galia dresses and knowing how expensive they are, Zoog dresses are just as good quality. The only different is that Zoog dresses arn’t as heavy and don’t feel as clumsy, and additionally, they don’t have massive trains – for me this was preferable as I didn’t want to drag something heavy around, but, Sigi will add whatever you want to your dress. I went to 8 stores in the UK trying to find a dress and I really struggled. It was only at Zoog where I tried on 10 dresses – could easily have bought each and every one of them and have been delighted. Of course you might not feel the same, but I wanted to reassure everyone that Zoog is totally legitimate and I’m happy to chat with any brides-to-be who are wondering about them and would like to know more.

For any UK based brides interested in Zoog, if there is sufficient interest, they will come and do a trunk show in London. @SmittenKittenLondon your post could not have come at a better time. Thankyou for all the helpful info. Can I ask what dress did you pick and were you allowed to take any photos? I just tried on Berta dresses yesterday and in Australia they are prices at over $10,000. I just want I see the zoog dresses on a normal person and not on a model. I bet youre so excited!!!
