I haven't bought the DVDs for Zumba but I've been attending classes for about 3 years now.
Once you get more comfortable with Zumba, I would encourage you to find a class that is close to you as it is so much more fun with live people there! You also get to make new friends and it just opens a lot of doors for you.
Zumba itself is a BLAST and I hope you continue with it!!
I think they are so fun! I can't do a lot of the moves so I just flail around looking ridiculous, but I keep moving. I do it in the privacy of my own home with the blinds closed so no one sees me. It goes by really fast and you get into a lot of the moves and forget you're working out. I like to pretend that I'm practicing for a performance and that one day I'm going to bust out my salsa moves at a bar and look super sexy (ha!) I was definitely sweaty and i didn't feel like I was dying but some days I was sore after. Especially after the abs video. My obliques hated me the next day. Most of the isolation videos are boring as sin though so I never use them.
@ananeele: I know what you mean by looking ridiculous! That's why I like having the DVD's, so nobody can see how silly I look. I'm glad to hear you enjoy doing the workout.
Honey, most people look ridiculous doing Zumba! haha! The good thing is that no one cares what you look like as long as you're having fun and moving. Like my instructor says, "If you get lost, don't worry. Just keep moving and shake something and you'll be fine!"
Zumba rocks. My dancer cousin just got her teaching licesne so she's been teaching classes two nights a week at the local dance studio. I'm not that bad, but my MOH who comes with me is the most uncoordinated person I know, but she loves it! =)
Have fun with it and don't worry if you can't do everything right off the bat, there is a learning curve. =)

I love Zumba!!! And I have the dvds!!! It's awesome I love to dance so its so fun for me...doing it everyday last year for a month my clothes started fitting me big and my back fat was the first thing to slim down..I definately need to start again.I so recommend it,but stick to it eat rite and u will see results.

I just bought this set, since I was looking for a fun and challenging workout to do at home. I just tried the cardio disc today, and it tired me out and kept my heart rate up. So far I like it, but I would like to hear from others. Does anyone have experience with these DVD's? Did you see any results from using them?
