- Wedding: May 2014 - Smithfield Center
Well it’s been almost two months now since our wedding and I can’t believe this is the first time I’m touching the Bee! I was glued to it up until the week of the wedding and then I let it go and focused everything on the experience of it all. I absolutely loved our wedding day – everything went exactly right except three things: 1. my dad missed the ceremony, but he wasn’t walking me down the aisle 2. the aisle runner was placed incorrectly and 3. we ran out of soda and water, but that was an easy fix with running up the street and getting more. Overall our day was exactly as I had been dreaming of and Darling Husband loved everything I had put together (he had little to do with the planning lol.) A little about our day: the ceremony started at 4pm, reception directly after (same location) and our reception ended at 9 – and I am SO happy I didn’t extend it because I was EXHAUSTED and people were leaving before then so it was perfect. Our theme was Disney, and our colors were royal blue and teal with black and white accents. Everything except the food and cake (and my mom’s roommate actually prepared the cold trays so that’s not completely true) was DIY and it was a LOT of work. I made all the signs, the programs, got the vinylmations for the tables, etc. and it was a ton of work – honestly I wish some things I had done differently only because of how much time it took, but overall everything was perfect. I hope you enjoy our recap!
