Could you all post some ring porn of rings that have bands between 1.5-2.5 mm thickness! Pros and cons of smaller or larger width? I know I am leaning towards a 6.5 mm/1 carat moissy and cannot decide on width of the band!

2mm band. Size 7 -1.16 ct cushion. I personally prefer thinner bands and wouldn’t go higher than 2mm. I like the look better. But, that’s me 🙂

1.5 seems really thin to me. Like it would wear down easily. I would go at least 1.8

1.8mm band. I love the look of a thin band but probably wouldn’t go as thin as 1.5; that’s very thin and more prone to bending or damage.

My engagement ring is 2mm at its widest and tapers to 1.5mm near the diamond. My wedding band is 2.5mm. Finger size 4.25.

I wil have to check the appraisal to see if it’s listed (custom and it wasn’t on the receipt) but according to my ruler, it tapers from 2mm down to 1.8 at the top. Size 6 finger, 1.5ct diamond (5.64mm wide)

If you do want a super thin (less than 1.7 band), I’d go what cbee2017
did and have a thicker shank that tapers. Your shank takes a good beating every day and it will be easier if you ever need to size up.

Engagement ring is just under 2mm wide. Wedding band is exactly 2mm wide. Both rings are size 5.5.
I love your set!

I’m a size 5.5 and both my rings are just under 2mm each, if I remember correctly. The centre stone is a 6.5mm FB moissanite, too.

Mine is 2mm and tapers to the center at about 1.6mm. Size 7.75 finger.
