I think mine are closer to 1.7 or 1.8 each.

If you’re thinking a plain band, I’d go with a knife-edge. Nice and sturdy and solid but looks thinner from the top.

Mine is 2mm at the thickest point and tapers to 1mm to the stone. But my ring is quite thick in profile view – 2mm.

I wanted a thin shank to make the diamond stand out more and also I like delicate looking rings.

I’ve had a 2mm pave band that I wear as a RHR for over 10 years. I haven’t lost any diamonds. I don’t know if it’s because the diamonds are tiny or the workmanship is good. I NEVER take off this ring even at the beach, gym, shower and bed.

I have a 1.5 mm pave for my engagement ring and there have been no problems with it.  I love how it makes my center stone stand IMG_7925out.  IMG_7924

My e-ring was suppose to be 2mm from James Allen but when I measured it, it’s actually 1.8mm. I wouldn’t want it any smaller, so my vote is on the 2mm. 2mm will still look pretty dainty IMO.

My ering is 1.3mm…. It’s micro pave. But I felt better have the cathedral type setting of the halo.

I think my band is 1.8mm. I love how dainty it is, but I don’t think I would go any thinner.

LovingLife89:  Can I ask where you got your ring?  I think we might be ring twins and I’m trying to find some information about it.  Thanks!

I have a 1.8mm platinum pave band. It looks dainty but is strong!

I believe mine is 1.5 mm, working in the yard and with the animals around the farm all day, everyday I have no problems at all.

I would definitely encourage you to go to 2mm if you are going to have pave. If it is cast it is already at greater risk of stress, and pave means less metal so even more risk of stress. 1.7-1.8 minimum if a solid shank.
