Hello!! I just registered on here after lurking on the site forever. I’m actually already engaged, but since we have a little more money now, FH is upgrading my e-ring to something bigger than the .35 ct solitaire I have :). I’m thinking of a 1 ct solitaire or a halo setting that would come out to 6.6mm to 7mm around (so looking like 1 ct on finger).
I’m not a fan of huge stones on my hand or tons of bling as my fingers could prob be a 3.75 if not for my big knuckles and I’m worried even 1 ct would be too much.
Soooo, can I see your 1 ct beauties on little fingers? Like 3.5 to 4.5? Thank you!!!

@mishana: 1 ct would look totally fine. Diamonds appear to get smaller the longer you have them, anyway.

Here is mine. Its a 1.35 carat ideal cut, G color, VS1 on a size 5 (should be 4.5).

Not too large by any means. Im same size as you could be 3.75 but stick to the 4 cuz of getting it over my knuckles. I have just under 1 ct.

@mishana: LOL thank you. I should be a size 4.5 or a 4 even. But I have huge knuckles and I hate pushing rings over them. So I stuck with size 5. 🙂
Oh and I have no idea why that picture makes my ring look all bent up! It is a perfect circle. LOL

@Ashshealey: hmm. good food for thought. the ring I can’t stop thinking about is just under 1 ct, too. yours is pretty. the yellow gold makes the stone stand out so much 🙂

My ring isn’t officially mine yet, but I took some pictures during the sizing process and hopefully they’ll be of some help! My ring size is about a 4/4.25, but my ring is currently sized at a 4.5 (it was originally a size 5) and I’m wearing it with a plastic ring huggie in this picture. Here’s my 1.25ct ring:

Please forgive my unmanicured nails! Here’s a close up, taken when I first received the ring and it was size 5. Pardon my weathered hands. It was extremely cold that day!

Thanks for sharing your lovely rings, ladies! I so can’t decide if I want a halo or solitaire. Really liking accent stones and starting to lean toward halos. These are my two favorites so far. The halo mimics a solitaire and the solitaire has small side stones, so cheating a little either way. I might do a poll for suggestions… Also looking into moissies. I love how they look and the whole idea behind them, but my guy isn’t sold so I don’t know… Hope the pictures load the right way.

Here’s mine. It’s a 1.05 ct center stone and 2 ct total. In this photo the band was 4.5 but I had it resized to 4.25.
