I am experiencing serious dress regret. I ordered a reception dress a few months ago and I even got all my alterations done. But to be honest I do NOT love the dress. I do LOVE my wedding dress but since I am getting married in a private destination wedding and having a formal reception 10 days later where we live I need a reception dress as well. Everyone presured me into buying the dress but it was a little to small and since it was on sale they didn’t have any other size. I really do feel super uncomfortable in it. I am looking on ebay and I have found 3 dresses I like. Each from China so I have to order like ASAP if I pay extra they will ship fast and it should be here with in a week of ordering. I would need it by Nov 15th at the latest for alterations.
Here are my choices
And here is my wedding dress so you get an idea on my body type. I am only 5 1″ as well. I don’t have a pic of my reception dress. I can’t get it on by myself lol so I can’t get a pic.

I must say I am a very laid back so that’s why I was leaning towards #1. I like that it’s so over the top.

If i were you, I’d honestly wear the wedding gown as the reception dress as well. I feel that it still have a formal feel to it. The dresses you found online are gorgeous, but wedding dresses from China are almost always custom-made and are not by the original designer, so often times the end result looks quite different depending on how intricate the style is. Good luck and I hope you make the right choice for you!

I would just wear your wedding dress to the at-home reception, personally.
But if you insist on another dress – I’d go with #2.

I also am wondering why you don’t wear your wedding dress to the reception? It looks great and you say you love it, so you could just wear it to both.

I think the dress you have now looks very pretty on you.
But out of those three dresses, I would say #2. Not a fan of #1 at all.

@MarryMeTiffany: Why not bring it to a dry cleaners on your honeymoon? Chances are there will be one if your hotel! I would do that, I like your wedding dress better than all the choices up there!
