One of my bridesmaids is also due a month before our adult reception (which I did actually state on the response card), and her husband will simply leave the room if the baby starts to cry during the important moments (ceremony, speeches, etc). We are also close with her parents, who will come to keep the baby overnight so that she and her husband can enjoy the evening without leaving the newborn for an entire 24+ hour period. We have my future stepson who will be 4 at the wedding (ringbearer) and two of my cousins attending because they are flying in with their parents from the other end of the country… if anyone complains that they couldn’t bring their kids, I’m really not even worried about it. We made exceptions that made sense, and if people are unwilling to get a babysitter for a night then we understand that they might not be able to attend.
