Hey guys I know I have already posted about my missed period and I guess my body probably just skipped this cycle.. what I don’t understand is why is my nipples very sensitive? I honestly don’t ever have sensitive nipples even if AF is coming.. so that’s what made me think… Maybe I am pregnant regardless on what the PT says? Well so I took a blood test yesterday & my nurse called today to confirm that it said NEGATIVE. /: so now I’m thinking I’m probably not pregnant.. Im going to start temping to be more aware.
Has anyone been through this? being late & BFN and have sensitive/tender nipples ? I’m not sure what is going on with my body. if anything I hope I’m ovulating.. advice needed. thanks in advanced!

Sensitive nipples is a post ovulation symptom just as much as it’s a pregnancy symptom. I would guess that you ovulated really late and AF is on the way. You don’t really miss a period, it’s just that your body doesn’t ovulate when it normally does and once it finally happens, AF arrives within the next couple of weeks. I definitely recommend temping so you know what’s going on. There is a small chance that you ovulated late and did get pregnant but are still too early to test positive, but it’s more likely that AF is pending. Hang in there.

If you aren’t temping, then what are you basing the fact that you ovulated on? OPKs can give you a positive, which means you had an LH surge, but you might not actually ovulate. Your body could “gear up” to ovulate, but not actually do so, and then “gear up” and actually ovulate later on.

The first cycle Darling Husband and I were TTC, I was 5-6 days late for my period and my nipples and breasts were SOOO sore. Darker, sore to the touch, veiny. But alas, I was not pregnant. Nature’s cruel sometimes huh? 🙂 Good luck to you!

jny1179: Yes I will be temping… How long does the sensitiviy usually last for? Couple days? I believe it started saturday for me and it still is very sensitive. Thank you for your advice ! I’m patiently waiting if AF does come… Trying not to worry so much being that I haven’t had a period the whole August. Thank you!

I get this in my TWW and it usually lasts for 5-6 days before AF. Sounds to me like you ovulated late?
