whybee:  I’m hoping everything works out with buying your new house! We were SO lucky we had it pretty easy when buying our house–aside from needing to give everything but a blood sample…lol The universe can totally be nice enough to give you a house and BFP, you deserve it!

whybee:  Thinking of you. How goes the wait? I think home shopping/buying was the single most frustrating thing we’ve done. I don’t ever want to do it again.

shaniqua:  Yay for a relaxing vacation. Try not to worry about things not being “perfect”. Think about how many people have conceived in far less than perfect conditions?!?! I’m trying to tell myself that whatever will happen, will happen. Whether things are perfect or not, they are going to turn out exactly how they are supposed to be.

My update- Still waiting for betas. This ish is ridiculous. Most of the symptoms from the estrogen and progesterone have faded. I’m not sure whether that is good or bad news. I keep getting cramps on the left side of my uterus. So if the bean is in there, I’m pretty sure he/she implanted on the left. I’m staying busy with work/taking care of Mr. LK/dealing with my family/trying to keep my head above water. I’m not happy or sad. Just kinda blah. That could be the artificial hormones talking. All in all, I’m just ready to know already. It worked or it didn’t. That part is beyond my control. I just want the bloodwork done to know. I was thisclose to asking my regular Gyn to order the labs when I was in for my annual routine exam earlier this week. Thisclose. But I didn’t. Boo.

Novella: Thank you and I’m sorry for your ttc “anniversary”, I hope it brings you luck and success with your upcoming FET.

MissCountryGirl727: We are still considering the post-transfer monitoring but initially I did not want to do it due to the extra cost which is hard to absorb when we’re already dealing with a price increase for the FET. I also did not care for the way it went last time – the first check-in I got a call from a doctor who I don’t know and I felt like she upped my meds for no good reason. The second one my doctor called to tell me that my HCG had fallen to 0 and short of a miracle, it was looking like a failure but to continue my meds just in case. The third was after my beta so I was essentially paying someone to call me and tell me what I already knew – BFN. The whole process was stressful and emotional and I feel like I’d much rather just wait it out this time. My beta will fall on a Friday so that will give me the weekend to process if we fail again. But my doctor was pretty insistent that monitoring helps which made me feel guilty so we are still considering it despite all of the above.

lovekiss: Thank you, I feel much the same way this time around – if it is meant to be it will happen no matter how perfect or unperfect the circumstances.

Novella:  My DH is the same way. He hates traveling and never makes plans, I always have to do it. I know how much he hates going to town or out at all, so I plan them few and far between. Luckily, I’m alright with being a homebody most of the time as well.

We had our meeting with the fertility specialist yesterday. It went about as well I expected. That is to say, lots of talk, still waiting and no clear answer. They want to do another SA on DH to see if the two previous tests in March were very abnormal or not. Since a year ago he had a perfectly good result from his first SA. If he fails that test, then we go straight to IVF with ICSI. And a waiting list of a year or more for the process. If his numbers are better, then I go for an HSG (is that what it is? when they shoot dye up there and take a look at my tubes?) and possibly proceed to IUI. It’s still up in the air if we’re going to qualify for public funding for IUI if that’s what we end up doing. Each round of IUI is about $1500 NZD. Which is exactly $1500 more than what we have. I guess if they don’t find anything wrong, then we just keep doing what we’ve been doing and either eventually will qualify for public funding for IUI or magically get pregnant or never have children. A bit depressing really. Money is a big factor for us as we both work low wage jobs and have a house to pay off. It’s hard sometimes. But we’ll come through it in the end. All of you ladies on here are just a huge inspiration to me. I told DH about this thread a little bit and explained that it’s just great to have so many other women going through what we’re going through and have so much knowledge and support to share. It’s a good resource.

debinoxford:  I’m sorry there will be more waiting before you can proceed with a treatment plan. When is your DH doing another SA? It’s really unfortunate that we all have to consider our finances regarding what treatments we can pursue and that it limits our options to build our families. Keep us updated on his SA results.

debinoxford:  I’m sorry you still don’t have a plan.  We are about in the same boat.  Money is also a huge factor for us, as my insurance doesn’t cover IUI or IVF (It is barely covering anything on the testing we’ve had so far!).  From what I’ve looked at, IVF will cost us about $10K (US) plus meds, for one round, so that isn’t even something we can think about right now.  We just don’t have $10K to shove up my uterus and hope a baby might come out of it. lol  The HSG shouldn’t cost too much, and (in my case) it didn’t hurt at all…why not see about getting that anyway?  It could give useful information, or even flush things out.  My Dr. was pretty hopeful about the increased fertility after HSG–up to 3 months he says–I’m on cycle 3 post-HSG now, but it could help!

Also–I hope your back is feeling better…you seemed to have had a rough day yesterday, hoping today is much better! 🙂

Turtle83:  during these early stages of pregnancy did you have pinching like cramps every no and then? My nurse says its normal and no need to worry. She said if i get doubled over or bleed heavy then worry.

I have heard its my uterus stretching for the baby?
