lonsk:  FX and huge hugs!!

Aqualov:  I’m sorry you didn’t get better news.  My dh would have had the same result, but we were successful with TESE.

I think you ladies need a new thread! 🙂

HopefulForLittleOne:  Thanks lady! Miss ya!

Ladies, I’m not feeling very hopeful. I feel like it’s already over and it’s going to devastate Darling Husband. He really took to these embryos and this chance. He rubs and kisses my belly, and talks to the “babies” he even goes as far to say that I’m sick because it’s “morning sickness”  Other times I felt he didn’t have an attachment, now I think he’s going to be heartbroken

lonsk:  I am soo sorry you are feeling down. We all are staying hopeful for you, even if you can’t. I think after so many disappointments, it is a protective mechanism that kicks in and does not allow us to hope anymore or expect anything. I remember when I had a CP (after a year of trying) , that cycle as soon as ovulation passed (we bded on all the good days, great timing), I started crying almost every day from 1DPO and getting hysterical that nothing is working and just felt completely hopeless. Few days before expected AF, I was a complete mess, cancelled all my weekend plans and just stayed home and cried. This whole process just sucks.

solnishko1186:  I hope the IUI worked for you! When are you planning to test? I had a teeny bit of spotting the first time I went to the bathroom after the IUI, then it went away.

AFM, I’m 6DPO, and I’m feeling a lot better after our not-so-great IUI. I’ll try to hold out to test next Friday (10/9) at 14DPO so I know the trigger is gone. I’m going to Europe tonight, so I’ll be nice and distracted! I get back on 10/11, so if I get a BFN (hopefully not!), at least we can start a new cycle the next day. Since it’s taken so long for me to even ovulate, I get really excited to just have a chance. We also got an 8 week old puppy, so I’ve had very little time to obsess!

RunnerBride13:  Post puppy pictures!  And enjoy your trip!  That sounds like the perfect TWW distraction!

AFM, I have an appointment with my GP in an hour to go over some test results and discuss the next steps.  I’m feeling anxious.  I also just saw that Ontario has decided to fund one round of IVF for all eligable women and I made the mistake of reading the comments on the article. A whole lot of “having babies is a choice….why don’t you just adopt”.  I kind of felt like punching my computer.

RunnerBride13:  I am not really sure about the testing yet. I want to hold of until 14DPO, but not to confident in that. Maybe I will start testing around 7DPO, just to see the two lines from the trigger and get used to seeing the two lines (instead of one over and over)

Europe and the new puppy sounds wonderful! Enjoy :-)))

mkat37:  That’s great that ON has decided to do that!  Wish all provinces would jump on board!

RunnerBride13:  she’s adorable!  🙂

lonsk:  Big hugs, lady!  I have everything crossed for you!  Hope you are feeling better.

AFM: nothing new. Currently in another TWW (or a one week wait for me since my LP Sucks!).  Today is 4 dpo  and I already have a headache so AF should show up sooner than I want and I’ll be having another cruddy LP. Waiting for the 19th to see our RE. Not sure if I’m excited because I know she will say ICSI and I don’t know how we would pay for it so I’m nervous that we may have to make a difficult decision.

Had my appointment this afternoon. My ultrasound last week showed a mass on my left ovary…likely a dermoid cyst but they want to send me for an mri to get a better look at it. Then it’s on to a specialist to decide if it needs to be removed. Of course i hit up google when i got home and there’s differing viewpoints on whether dermoid ovarian cysts can even affect fertility. On one hand, if the cyst IS causing my problems it will be worth it to investigate further. On the other hand, part of me thinks this is unrelated to our infertility and this is wasting time from finding out the real issue. My right ovary is fine so why hasn’t sperm met an egg released from my right ovary at least once on the past 14 cycles? Ugh…i feel like i just have more questions instead of answers now. My prolactin was also a bit high (as in 0.1 above normal) so I’m going for another blood test.

RunnerBride13:  super adorable!!

WillowB:  it is great. Too bad i live in MB and can’t take advantage of it! We do have a tax credit but it doesn’t go very far.

ROLL CALL

Age/Partner’s Age: 26/26, will both be 27 this month

How long have you been together:8 years together/3 years married

How long have you been TTC: NTNP since March 2014, TTC since June 2014

Issues: No problems found with him.  I don’t ovulate consistently on my own, long cycles, and my CM is hostile.

What are your TTC plans for 2015: Taking a break this cycle (could be up to 70 days), then IUI + Clomid.  Still “trying” naturally this cycle.

Anything about yourself you want to share: I really really like to budget.  I get genuinely excited about it.

What is the most effective coping tool you have found to get you through this mess? Honestly, having my niece around has helped, I know at the end of this I’ll have a little one of my own one way or another.

I just came off of three cycles of clomid and I responded very well but did not conceive due to my hostile CM.  We were going to try IUI this cycle but I wanted a break from the clomid and October is just an incredibly busy month for us.  I am also casually looking for jobs and if I am hired on somewhere we will take a break from medical intervention and just continue naturally.  It would cause a gap in insurance and I want to be sure I will be eligible for FMLA.

I decided it was time to join the 1 year plus thread, so let’s see how I fit in!  I probably won’t be too terribly active this cycle though.
