RunnerBride13:  oh, the Acura RDX is pretty fun, my Brother-In-Law drives one. It’s great because it has turbo, so it’s a lot faster than a lot of SUVs. I also really like the Audi Q3 (my husband calls it the “cute 3) but it’s again a lot smaller.

I got to see my friend’s baby this morning! She is cute. Like, really, really cute, and OMG she smells SO good. Gah, babies!

This is my 1st time roll calling on this board!!

ROLL CALL

Age/Partner’s Age: 31/34

How long have you been together: together 8 years, married almost 1.5

How long have you been TTC: Currently on 21st cycle

Issues: Unexplained Infertility (all diagnostic work came back normal, w/ the exception of my progesterone being high enough to confirm ovulation occured- but lower than optimal)

What are your TTC plans for 2015/2016: (fertility meds, supplements, OPKs, BBT charting, NTNP, etc,) 3-4 monitored cycles of Clomid + HCG trigger + IUI.  Then IVF if we don’t get BFP.  I did my 1st IUI yesterday

Any new years’ resolutions or hopes for 2016?: Get EVERYTHING organized.  Buy our 1st house this summer.  Eat healthier and try to exericse more.  And hopefully get pregnant!!  It’d be nice to have a 2016 baby, but I’ll take a 2016 pregnancy!!

Just got back from the clinic. Today I had my sonogram.
Dr. said my tubes are open and I have a “beautiful” (ha-ha) uterus. They didn’t say anything about the ovaries though… except that I have a small cyst on the left (which I knew) and that they weren’t worried but would monitor it.

I go back in 3 days for cycle monitoring. Fingers crossed that I ovulate

Husband had his specialist appointment today and got great news! His SA test came back normal!!! (last one was 4 million and 30% motility). They are going to do another one next week.

His TMC is 65.7 (reference value is greater than 20). not exactly sure what this means, but Dr. said everything is ok

I feel like we are finally getting some answers… now just need to see IF/when I ovulate

soontobemrs1011:  Welcome! Unexplained is a frustrating “diagnosis”. Hopefully IUIs will give you all the push you need and will not have to venture into ivf.

RunnerBride13:  Feeling a bit better today. Period started offically today. Called Dr we are gonna do one more medicated cycle before moving on to IUI, where I guess we would have to go outside of my Drs office for. Double the dose of Letrozole so maybe more will come of it. This is it I hope I can feel it.

Doctor’s office got back to me, they want to meet to discuss the next steps/options before doing any more treatment since this was our 3rd failed IUI.

Never thought we’d have 3 failures.

Next appointment he has isn’t until the 24th, so we’ll be doing natural this time.

I think I’m just going to focus on eating healthier (because seriously I eat crap) and (this might sound lame) visualizing a pregnant me. And I think I’m going to make an appointment with that naturopath lady I was mentioning earlier. It looks like she focuses a lot on allergies and other chronic ailments. I don’t see any fertility specific on the website, but I think I’ll still give it a shot. I need to get myself into a healthier state. When I look at fertility friendly diets I get pretty overwhelmed because my thought “well if I take all that out, what else is left to eat?” (remember, my house is full of crap) and then i say “forget it.” Maybe with some guidance I can figure out how to follow it and stick to it.

vanike:  Honestly, when I wanted to try and start eating healthier after college it was really, really hard.  I’ve looked at those fertility diets and from what I’ve seen they focus on vegetarian and no sweets. I am a weekday vegetarian and weekend omnivore as a result of trying to have a healthier diet. So, I’d start slow with it – once you start finding food that you like eating that falls within the fertility diet parameters, you’ll be good. I just think it’s hard to do a complete 180 on your diet since it makes every meal such a chore to prepare and eat since the only thought is “this is all I can eat forever and ever, and sunday was my last really good food day…”

future_mrs_m:  That’s awesome that he had a good one! Did he change anything in between them to try and improve numbers?

As for me, I peed on something last night after work and it was a big fat negative no. I shouldn’t have. It put me down the road of googling “how many people had a negative 11dpiui become a bfp” and then wondering if it was only negative since it wasn’t morning pee, etc. I’m hopeful it’ll still work out, but not very. I’m going to wait till 14 next time so I can at least have that “maybe it really did work” feeling for a couple days more.

Lupron is giving me some serious insomnia. Since I started the shots, I would fall asleep at the usual time, but then wake up every 2-3 hours feeling wired awake and it takes a long time to fall back asleep. Feel physically exausted, but mentally too “hyper”. I was so tempted today to just take a sick day and sleep in, but trying to save up days for when I really need them.

solnishko1186:  I’m on CD21 now… not looking good for getting insurance approval in time for this cycle. Maybe I should start calling and harrassing them too! 🙂
