Novella:  I know I’m a bit late, but congrats! Sending positive thoughts for a sticky healthy baby!

Sorry I’ve been MIA lately. My learning to eat healthy and making a point to exercise a few times a week is distracting and exhausting. We’ve done fairly well with the eating healthy, been making it a point to eat veggies at least 3x a day. Not eating very many grains or sugars, and I just feel so much better overall.

We booked a trip to Seattle in April. it’s a trip we’ve been wanting to take for a couple of years but always found a reason not to (like what if I get pregnant? I don’t want to be pregnant during this trip. or what if it’s a treatment month?). Well, I got tired of planning my life around “what if… pregnancy” scenarios for 2 years. I don’t care. We’re going. It’ll be a long weekend, I’m excited and also trying to justify the cost in my mind. But shoot, we spend just as much per treatment cycle. We deserve a real vacation too.

Also, just got word from my clinic that the insurance goofed up again, and authorized another cycle. So I’m guessing we’ll do an IUI cycle next month. It all depends on what the doctor says on the 24th.

lizziebeth1:  Thank you! Exactly, it’s kinda hard not to worry and I’m the type of person that thinks the worst thing will happen.. Probably not the best thing to do lol Good luck with your IUI #2, hope it goes smoothly and results in a BFP!!

EL2101: Hi, basically we ring the clinic on the first day of my cycle and they ensure the donor sperm is there ready for transfer. It does depend on if they have the donor in stock (so to speak). We are also booked in to see the specilaist nurse on the 24th march to see if we can get a different donor through a new service which means we would be able to get enough to do the 6 iui cycles and 2 fresh IVF cycles (as well as 3 FETs) all at once. This would make it easier as we wouldn’t have to ring up for treatment for them to say they have not got the donor in place.

ROLL CALL

Your Age/Partner’s Age: I’m 25, DH is 41

How long you have been together: Together 4 years, Married 8 month

How long you have been TTC: 9 months

What number child you are TTC for: 1

Unexplained or Explained Infertility: Explained…ish. Still need to see a few doctors to be sure.

Known Issues: DH has low motility and low morphology, plus low testosterone. I dont THINK there are any issues on my end, but we’ll find out when I meet with my Gyno.

Your TTC plans for the next few months: (fertility meds, supplements, OPKs, BBT charting, NTNP, etc) : Making appts to see my Gyno in the next month or so. DH is going to see a Urologist. We are planning to go straight for IVF, as thats what DH’s doctor recommended after his SA results. No charting, it just stresses me out. I use FF and Ovia to track my period and see roughly when I ovulate.

Just for fun – If you could open your own business or store front, what would you do/make/sell?  I actually already have my own business on Etsy, crocheting and a little bit of sewing.

Chloeeee:  I just starting posting here too.  I started TTC June 2014, TTC for a year with no BFP, it also took me a few months to seek professional help.  I started going to my RE October 2015, all diagnostic work came back normal, and DH and I have unexplained infertility.

lizziebeth1:  I’m right behind you with IUI #2, I go tomorrow for CD3 ultrasound and bloodwork.  Last cycle I also had 2 mature follicles, so I completely understand your thinking becuase that’s what I’d be thinking.  I think at this point it’s really hard for me to stay positive.

Chloeeee:  Welcome, I am new to testing and moving forward as well. How was the HSG procedure?  I have my first appointment with a specialist on Wednesday, and I know that is one of the first tests they do. Was it painful?

soontobemrs1011:  Ugh, unexplained infertility sounds so cruel. I’m so sorry, I hope you find some answers or a BFP soon!!

futuremrssquiggs:  Hello! I specifically didn’t google HSG before I got it done because I didn’t want to freak myself out lol but honestly it wasn’t that bad. I had a little pain but it only lasted for 15-30 seconds. It felt like intense period cramps. You’ll be fine! I was advised to take Advil about an hour before. I had a little spotting the rest of the day. But other than that, not too bad 🙂 I hope it goes smoothly for you!!

you ladies have so much more knowledge than me… I have a question

This is my first time TWW (first time we highly suspect i ovulated — thanks RE). Today I am 8DPO.
I have had a horrible cold for 4 days (just went to the clinic today, Dr said i have a virus thats going around). I have been taking buckleys steadily for 4 days.

Is this bad! I will stop immediately. Im just worried… i know the chances of a BFP are slim – we havent even finished all the testings with our RE, but it IS possible. IF I am pregnant, is it bad to have taken buckleys during DPO 5-8

futuremrssquiggs:  For me, the HSG was fast, completely painless, and other than the trauma of being butthole-to-eye level with a male doctor (seriously the table was SO high, and they had me scoot SO far down while strapped into stirrups), no big deal. Hopefully it’s the same for you!

future_mrs_m:  I have no idea what Buckley’s is, but even if you are pregnant, you wouldn’t even be sharing a blood supply with the baby yet, so deeeep breaths :). Feel better!

Cd21 bloods and starting estrogen priming tomorrow for ivf round 1. I’m anxious to make this terrifyingly huge pile of medications disappear!
