Dreaming13:  I’ve been uncomfortable since Monday, but yesterday and today have been the worst. Wear leggings or sweatpants or something on the plane, yesterday I was in jeans and it was worse. You will probably start to feel it tomorrow or Friday if it is going to affect you. My friend did 3 rounds of Clomid and she didn’t have the exploding ovaries feeling :/

JLBB-brooklyn:  I asked last week about testing out the trigger (I think it was last week…) so you can probably look for the responses to that post in this thread. I still don’t know if I am going to. I have a ton of Wondfo pregnancy tests from buying so many OPKs from Amazon. I might just do it to see a bunch of positives for “fun.” I will see how I’m feeling.

Thanks guys. Spotting eased off but I am still petrified! (of course)

Going to OB tomorrow for early scan – I’ll be almost 6w, but not expecting to see anything except hopefully a blob in the right place. So nervous!

vanike:  I keep getting stuck in the “we need to do ED!” camp, but in reality, EOD is a lot more achieveable with our lifestyle and I know it works fine for a lot of people. I will look into the Vit. B complex though!  Thanks for the heads up.  And your OPK looks positive to me!

debinoxford:  You could push for a hyseroscopy as well – that might give you some more insight.  And an HSG will also be good to give some answers. I hope you’re able to find something soon!  As sucky as it is to have something wrong, it is oddly reassuring to know that there is a reason.

Novella:  that seems pretty good!  Why such a long wait until the next one?  Don’t they want to look for a doubling time? Happy Birthday!!

MattieK:  I didn’t realize PGS automatically meant FETs. I hope you only need to do one retrieval! Yay for getting started!  I hope the rest of the injections go as smoothly for you!

weightwatchers152:  I do have a little gender neutral onesie that says “I love Daddy” wrapped up and ready to go whenever we get a BFP. (I am horrible at keeping secrets, but that one’s been kept for 18 months and counting!) I also bought a super cute sock monkey outfit for $3 one day (impulse buy!) to give to my mom because my nickname was “Monkey Toes” as a baby.

MattieK:  So many NY/NJ bees! I’m hoping I can make it to the next meet up 🙂

I had my first RE appointment today. I really liked the doctor, she is super positive about us, as we are healthy and were able to get pregnant (even though they ended in MC). We have to wait for all of the bloodwork, DH’s SA and I am going for an ultrasound on my thyroid…but if all goes well, we should be doing Clomid and IUI in April! I feel great that we have a plan, I am sort of surprised we are going straight to IUI, but I’m not sure what else I thought would happen?

weightwatchers152:  I have this bought it like the first month we started TTCing. DH is a big car guy. Also have a stash of baby stuff that I have been slowly collecting all genderneutral stuff. But I just can’t help it, the stuff is so cute.

weightwatchers152:  I bought a onesie with a doctor motif on it and american flag freshly picked moccasins (DH is a military doctor so I thought it was fitting and gender neutral). More than a year later and they’re still wrapped up.

Hi ladies, I don’t have the energy to respond individually, but thanks for all the kind words over the past few days. I’m still having a hard time believing that this is real life, but I keep waking up not pregnant and out of embryos, so it seems to be the case.

I talked to my doctor on Monday and he really thinks we can be successful on round 2, and he wants to do a lot of things differently. I’m starting BCPs on CD3 (AF started tonight, which is really tough) to hopefully get my follies growing at the same rate. Last time we just started stims on a random day since I don’t ovulate, but I had a bunch of small follies that didn’t catch up to the bigger ones, so he’s hoping the pill start will help. Then we will do Follastim and Menopur instead of Menopur only. Last time we did Menopur only because I am a weird case and they were worried I wouldn’t respond without a lot of LH. I’ve read that Menopur only gets fewer eggs, and my FSH threshold is pretty high, so I’m hoping the combo works better. We will also do PGS testing this time, though I’m terrified we’ll have no normal embryos. I asked if we could biopsy all of the embyros and do a “blind transfer” where we transfer 1 or 2 without having the PGS results. My RE said we could do it, though he doesn’t necessarily recommend it. DH is worried we would get negative PGS results during the TWW or even if we are pregnant and then freak out, which is a legitimate concern. I hate to think we won’t do a transfer until June, but of course I want to do it right. If we do a frozen transfer, my RE also wants to do an endometrial receptivity analysis (ERA), which I guess could increase our chances too.

So that’s the plan – we are meeting with the RE on March 1 to hash out all the details. I also decided to stop running completely and stop all higher intensity exercise. Basically only walking, easy swimming, and barre/yoga. I’m starting acupuncture with an acupuncture fertility specialist, and I’m trying to work on relaxation. I think that’s about all I can do. I feel like I need a project over the next couple of months but I haven’t thought of anything yet (I already got a puppy). Ideas are welcome!

weightwatchers152:  I have not bought any baby stuff, I think it would be too hard to know it’s there. Whenever I find something that’s too adorable to leave behind, I buy it for a pregnant friend, cause Lord knows ALL the friends are pregnant!

JLBB-brooklyn:  I don’t know how high my trigger dose was (it was ovidrel, not hcg), but it was totally gone by 7dpt. I think it totally depends on the individuals metabolism of the drug. What I did was just test on 7dpt, so not testing it all the way out from the beginning, but testing on the last day I knew there would definitely not be a positive if I were pregnant.

hogoboom2012:  Some office may be able to do a fresh transfer and PGS, but the lab my RE uses takes a biopsy from 5 day embryos, and takes about 2 weeks to send results, so FET it is. I can imagine there may be some that do PGS on earlier embryos, and can rush results for a fresh transfer. My RE has a much higher success rate for FETs than fresh transfers though, so I don’t mind the wait.

independencewave:  I work in a NICU, and I’ve seen moms who are smaller (like, 5’4 and skinny) carry to 35 weeks and mothers who are…larger…deliver at 23 with twins. I think it’s a crap shoot.

weightwatchers152:  Before we even got married, when I knew I wanted to get pregnant right away after our wedding, I had bought a onesie with a mascot of a favorite school on it. One of the things I’m trying to keep through this process is the ability to still somewhat surprise him if I am pregnant – I don’t want to just be like “oh, the beta was this, then it was this,” or have him look at the pee stick with me.

vanike:  My RE actually warned me against following something like Whole 30 to a T, because he was concerned about a program that advocates no beans, and felt it was too trendy of a diet. He’s like “black beans and beans in general are fantastic for you and a great source of folate, why would anyone, especially someone trying to get pregnant, EVER cut them out?!?!” He was pro less refined carbs, more veggies, protein, and taking that prenatal vitamin like a champ.

For us, just had IUI #2 this AM. Our trend of numbers not quite as good as IUI #1 continue. In addition to only one large egg(and 3 teeny small, like under 10 eggs), sperm count wasn’t as high as last time. It was clearly and obviously over any threshold for “successful IUI”, but it still bummed me out. I was sort of hoping for continuing higher numbers. I know it only takes one of each for it to work…but those two are taking an awfully long time to find each other.

RunnerBride13:  I’ve been thinking of you and am glad to see an update. Sounds like your RE is being super proactive. Does anything in your house need redecorating or remodeling? We need to redo our bathrooms so I’ll be distracting myself with that – coming up with the design, searching for a contractor, selecting materials…

Mrs. Jaguar:  How did the scan go??

Scan this morning showed second round of Clomid (100mg) increased my follicle a grand total of 3mm in seven days to 14mm. Can’t trigger and can’t continue tracking due to vacation. RE said BD EOD for the next week. I’m going back to using the OPKs, I always got a positive when I was using them. We are moving to Femera if this cycle is a BFN, which I am assuming it will be.
