MrsBananas:  Hahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!1 Ahhhhhhhhh….men. I’m so sorry lady, but I totally busted up laughing…I’m kinda worried about my hubs doing something similar. He’s already whinging about the 3-4 days of absintence. Seriously?!? That’s like, all they have to do!

AFM, had a full on initial with the RE that I liked. He did an ultrasound, and I have ovulated. Said there were 7 BAF on the left + the corpus luteum and 8 on the right, but they were hazy. All of them. Says that may be a capillary blood flow issue or maybe a clotting issue, though my CBC from a month ago doesn’t show anything but good blood distribution.

Same with the lining, I dont know what CD I am because of the surgery, but I am in LP and he says he would like to see 9-10 and I am only at 7.5

He says that as well could be a blood flow issue…plus he noted that my skin is little blotchy and I think that goes along with the theme. Hopefully if that’s what it is there is some way to supplement my chicken feed or something to grown some big shiny eggs, right?

Won’t know much more until I get EVERY. LAB. UNDER. THE. SUN. run this pm, except for the day 3 ones which will come on, guess? Yep. Day 3. Need a day 1 first, but since we have confirmed ovulation that should be soon.

So that’s where we are. 10:4 good buddy. Chicken, out.

MrsBananas:  I feel your pain. DH did something similar not that long ago when we were meant to have AM timed intercourse and it was so frustrating, especially at the time. In hindsight it was kind of funny to be woken up to him swearing.

nyckitten:  Glad you have been able to get back into the gym for your mental health. Sorry about your Mother-In-Law. I had one of those frustrating conversations with people yesterday spouting things like “things happen for a reason” “you’ll do IVF and then the next one will be a natural accident” blah blah blah and it was all I could do not to bite their heads off. People think they understand because of their own experiences but it is such a personal, heartbreaking journey to go through all of this. Only you can know how you feel. Thinking of you and glad to hear you are beginning to recover physically xoxox

AFM not much going on here. AF arrived right on schedule, went away and now I’ve had some spotting CD 9. Hope that is noting but it is quite unusual for me. Have an appointment with my specialist next week just to get everything set up for my IVF cycle in the new year and make sure my protocol is up to date after my last injectables cycle and to see how she wants me to handle my cycle during the few months break.

PeachBee:  You’re responding great!! Wishing you a very successful cycle!! Looking forward to all your updates πŸ™‚

thesaurus_rex:  I’m so sorry 3rd IUI was another BFN πŸ™

CityBearBride:  My RE prefers to use femara/letrozole instead of clomid, since it has fewer side effects, it doesn’t affect the lining (clomid can thin the lining) and there is lower chance of multiples. I really hope IUI #3 will be a success and you don’t need to consider the IVF option.

MrsBananas:  I’m so sorry that your DH missed his SA appointment πŸ™ I imagine he must feel very bad about the situation. I hope he can schedule another appointment before your hysteroscopy next week.

nyckitten:  I’m so about your Mother-In-Law. I’ve had similar conversations with family/friends I have shared my experience with, but it’s hard for people to relate and understand the pain. They mean well, but end up saying very hurtful stuff sometimes. Congrats on going back to the gym and I’m glad is helping with your mental health.

Frohike: I’m glad you’re moving along with testing and hoping you get AF soon to get your CD3 tests. Is the plan to do IVF that cycle or wait until the following one?

AFM I started taking Letrozole on Sunday CD3 and so far no side effects. I have my hysteroscopy tomorrow and looking forward to the results. I’m hoping they find “something” that would explain the recurrent losses.

Turtle83:  We talked about timing and figured that with the holidays coming and with their lab shutting down the 3rd week in December it made sense to start the cycle after the first. So we’re looking at (assuming we are a go and everything is either cool or under control) maybe getting ready for the cycle end of December to start the first week or two in January. I hope they can at least get you answers, but I bet your uterus is lovely. πŸ˜‰ So weird to type that…Good luck tomorrow!

HopefulForLittleOne: Thank you so much for such an amazing response. I’ll definitely PM you soon. It really helps to hear about someone who stared this down and won!

Frohike: Thanks. I did a happy dance when I got those numbers and my nurse was so pleased with them. Finally some good news. πŸ™‚ I have my HSG scheduled for this upcoming Friday afternoon. Aren’t you getting testing underway soon, too? By The Way, I completely refer to my girlfriends and I as “just us chickens.” Then again, I actually have 15 (real) chickens in my flock, so maybe I just have a thing for them. haha

PeachBee: Maybe I can be a fast responder, too?!?!? Gosh, I hope so. The med costs will eat at our savings all too quickly.

thesaurus_rex: I’m sorry your IUI didn’t take.

Mrs. Jaguar: Hooray that you are responding more rapidly now. I hope you get to trigger soon and get those beautiful follies out of there safe and sound.

CityBearBride: A friend did 3 rounds of IUI for “unexplained” infertility, and had success on their first IVF try… twins! Hopefully IUI will be it for you. But if it’s not, at least your IVF odds are good. Find the bright side, and all that jazz… right?

MrsBananas: Oh no. How embarassing for him. FX that he gets another shot (pun totally intended).

nyckitten: You are not alone in the unhealthy binge. Mr. Lk and I have been falling off the healthy wagon more times than I care to count in the last 2 weeks.

lovekiss:  Testing is officially underway! My ultrasound was today, and I just dropped off 8 (eight!!! ha! Ha! Ha! …totally felt like the count when the phebotomist kept reaching for more vials) vials of blood…so we’ll see. Will call and get hubby scheduled for SA sometime next week as he has to be abstinate for 3-4 days and they don’t do Fridays, so last night we messed up this week unknowingly. Then with day 3 bloods we will be ready to find out where we are!

MrsBananas:  Ah shoot!!! I’m sorry to hear about DH’s stuff. I’m always paranoid something will happen before hubby has to do his part for IVF. Eeeep!

nyckitten:  You do what you’ve gotta do to get through! After I’m healed from this IVF I’ll be hitting the gym again. It’s a good way to clear the mind. And my Mum sounds like your Mother-In-Law. Always full of the WORST advice.

Frohike:  If you find that magical chicken feed, hook me up please! xx

Novella: Hmmm, wonder what the spotting could be? Let us know what your plan is during your pre-IVF cycles. I have to do Letrozole next month to try and have a normal-ish cycle, then we can FET the following cycle after that. All this waiting!

Turtle83:  Good luck with the Letrozole. It obviously never got me a BFP but it was the ONLY thing that has helped me to ovulate. xxx

lovekiss:  Thanks lovely! I can’t wait to get them OUT. This chicken needs to lay some eggs, pronto.

Frohike:  Right? I’ve already started referring to them as my vampire appointments. I gave 2 vials on Friday and another 6 on Saturday. Yeesh! I still need to have my GYN send over my last pap results and do the HSG, and then we’ll be able to go back in for “the plan” conversation. I think I’ll wait until the first week of December for that one. I don’t need Thanksgiving week made even busier by trying to squeeze in a RE appointment. I just want to get this out of the way so that I know what is going on. I feel okay now, and will feel even better when I have a plan and timeline set. We won’t be doing the sperm retrieval until early February in order to give the clomid and supplements a full 3 months to take effect. If my cycle holds steady, which it normally is, then I may be able to start birth control at the end of January, do the TESE and my mock transfer in early-mid February, and start stims in mid-late February for an early March retrieval. It’s crazy to think that we’ll hopefully be transferring an embryo right around the time DS turns 17 (the age I was when I got pregnant with him!).

thesaurus_rex:  So sorry to hear about your failed IUI. Hopefully you and your RE can come up with a plan that will work for you.

View original reply
Frohike:  Haha, no offense at all. I hope I do indeed prove to be a good chicken (and I am hoping you do too!) Glad to hear your meeting with your RE went well. If there is a blood flow issues, I hope they can figure out a quick solution for you! I have had some difficulties getting my lining up and I have found that drinking pomegranate juice and red raspberry leaf tea helps (plus goji berries). Might be worth a try πŸ™‚

Mrs. Jaguar:  That’s great that you have responded so well! My RE did the same thing – sacrificing some of the biggest ones in order to let the small ones catch up. Are you still planning for a Thursday retrieval? Good luck and keep us posted!

View original reply
CityBearBride:  FX that the IUI works so you don’t have to move on to IVF.

View original reply
MrsBananas:  Yikes! I couldn’t help but laugh. Hopefully you and your DH can find another time for him to do the SA, so that this becomes just a funny story rather than something that messing timing up for you guys. Haha.

nyckitten:  Thank you! We triggered last night and have egg retrieval tomorrow morning. I am so nervous. I just hope we get a few good embryos out of this crazy journey. I’m glad to hear you have been taking good care of yourself. Sending you lots of hugs!

Novella:  Good luck at your meeting, and with your IVF cycle. I know it is a tough/big step to take. Hopefully it will get both of us our BFP though! FX

View original reply
Turtle83:  Thank you! Good luck with the Letrozole and the hysteroscopy.

View original reply
lovekiss:  I hope you are a fast-ish responder too (you don’t want to be too fast though – throughout my cycle, I have worried that I’ve resonded too quickly and that it will impact on egg quality … it seems there is always something to worry about … I guess i will know one way or another in a few days). Glad to hear you have a plan coming together, I always find that helps!

PeachBee:  Good luck with the ER. FX!

Turtle83:  Hope the hysteroscopy goes well, I’m jealous you get to do it already, I’m still waiting. Hopefully you get Some answers out of it.

So many people are moving ahead with tests and treatments, I have a feeling we’ll be seeing some BFPs soon! I’m in limbo right now, waiting on AF then a “waste of time” (in my opinion) appointment next week to go over the risks of the hysteroscopy – which I already did when I found ou I needed it…sigh. Hopefully will get a date soon for the hysteroscopy.

I’ve been keeping up with everyone on here and neglected to update on myself. I feel like there isn’t much to share, considering the dearth of information everyone else is wading through.

But here we are, a few days past O, and I have thrown in the towel basically. We are being transferred to an RE sometime before the end of the year. My GP said there isn’t anything more she can do for us. So we’re just waiting. I did decide to stop temping for awhile to give myself a break. I am so happy about it too, just chilling out and being able to sleep past 5:30 in the morning. Hope there are more good updates from you ladies before Christmas.
