AlmostHisWife: I missed your roll call, I’m sorry that you’re here but I hope your stay is short. My FSH was borderline normal (9.2 & 9.8, different labs). Did they test your AMH? Let us know how your follow-up appointment goes.
lovekiss: I’m glad your insurance covers all diagnostic testing and will cover the TESE, it helps to save some money. If I were in your situation I would consider options 2 or 3 to maximize your chances of conception. When DH and I were considering IVF, we wanted to do shared risk program, but we most likely wouldn’t have qualified due to my low AMH.
whybee: I have my fingers super crossed that you won’t need to roll call π

AlmostHisWife: Welcome! Hopefully your stay is short, you definitely did the right thing pushing for testing, you really have to be your own advocate. My FSH is also awful, it was I think 9.7 the first time I tested and then 13.something the next month. I haven’t tested it since but I’d like to think it went down!
PeachBee: CONGRATULATIONS! That is a strong BFP for 8dp/5dt, so happy for you!
lovekiss: I’d definitely go 2 or 3, but I’d have a serious convo with your doctor first about how many cycles they think you’ll need. I bought the two cycle plan and with my genetic issues got 2 healthy embryos which I’m over the moon about! That said, I probably would have purchased a 3 cycle plan if availble since we may need to do IVF again in the future, depending on whether these two frosties stick. Plus, even at 27, one of my mutation free embryos had chromosomal issues and although we didn’t PGS the PGD positive embryos, they might have had other issues too that would have resulted in nonviable pregnancies. I’d feel better with as many chances as possible. Also, Congrats on your weight loss, that’s a huge achievement!
MrsBananas: Hooray for lots of BDing π When are you planning on testing?
Novella: Having a good plan in place always made me feel better about the situation, congrats on getting everything lined up! I also agree another injectable cycle is smart, we got so much info from my two injectable IUIs that we were able to apply to IVF, it’s invaluable.
Frohike: Yeeeah, DH had several SAs done, and by several I mean at least 6, and although we knew we had MFI 2-3/4 days never made much of a difference. I hope you get good results back.
Thank you so much again everyone for the well wishes, we’ve been crazy busy with the holidays (bake ALL the pies!) but I can’t tell you how much your support means. We’re still not discussing much with most of our friends and family because our genetic issues are so complicated and can be difficult for people to understand, so you guys make up a large part of my sounding board/support system. I would be happy to share our frostie’s gender(s) but since some friends/family definitely know my sn from wedding planning and we’re trying to keep the genders a surprise for family, I’ll try to go back and PM it to anyone who asked. We’d like to keep at least something “normal” about this process and since nothing else is, we’re going with the gender lol. I think knowing also makes the process more difficult in a way, now if the embryos don’t stick we’re not just losing some cells, we’re losing a son or a daughter.

saraja87: Hi Sara. Thanks. I definitely agree about being your own advocate. I’m pretty annoyed at my doctor for making me wait so long, when I asked him multiple times to just do blood work. If he would’ve just done the blood work when I asked, we could have been already moving forward with this. Oh well. No point in dwelling on it I guess.
