Geez everyone!  That’s some activity in a day!

First, thanks to everyone who commented on my cute kitties!  Made my day.  I think they’re pretty darn cute, but I’m biased. πŸ˜‰

@Yellow.Clover:  Love Paisley! (Kali is pretty darn cute too, but Paisley wins for being a puppy!).  So sorry about AF. πŸ™  And good luck with the car decision — I can definitely see how that would be very stressful.

@PumpkinSpiceChai:  Sorry to hear about the Clomid side effects.  Good excuse to scream a bit?  Hope they ease off soon.

@MrsR4ever:  So sorry about your, er…, accident.  Probably the hormones (or a urinary tract infection but you didn’t mention any other symptoms of that).

@BOGB:  Welcome to the board!  Hope your stay here is short and sweet.

@lonsk:  You’re too funny these days, lady. πŸ™‚

@texasbee:  That comment from your Mother-In-Law is so bizarre and rude…I almost didn’t understand it.  So sorry to hear about your eggs…I am thinking of you and wishing for the fertilization to go well.  Keep us posted.

@HopefulForLittleOne:  Ahhhhh — doggy lobster!!  Love!  Oh man, that one thread you and I were commenting on where people were making insensitive comments was killer.  After that one crazy poster attacked you I PM’d her to tell her she should not pull the “I’m in a medical field” card to scare people.

My update is that I have an appointment to see a different RE on Thursday.  I really liked @HopefulForLittleOne’s RE that she pulled some strings to get me in to see early, but the one I’m seeing Thursday is more convenient to my work, which is pretty important given how frequently the monitoring appointments can be.  So, we’ll see how it goes.  I guess you could say I’m test-driving RE’s right now.  This one is the RE recommended by my old RE (from before I moved) — the old RE was able to pull some strings since the new RE is an old buddy of his to get me on the priority cancellation list.  What I’ve learned through all this is that trying to see an RE in NYC is nuts unless you have friends and doctors able to bend some schedules for you!

How am I supposed to catch up on what happened on the last thread when this one keeps moving so quickly!  πŸ™‚  Real quick (and we know how great I am at keeping things short! πŸ˜‰

@lonsk:  Yes, please, soon πŸ™‚  I love saracastic humor, but am not clever enough to do it myself, but very much appreciate it when I see, errr, read it πŸ™‚

@BOGB:  Welcome to the best board on WB!  πŸ™‚  We all may be itching to get out of here, but we certainly make the most of our time here!

@texasbee:  He’s a Havanesea.  Or so they say.  He was rescued from a puppy mill (and will always be shy with strangers due to the abuse and neglect he endured there), so who knows if there is something else mixed in there since millers will mix whatever is in heat and pet stores can market it as a “designer dog.”  The most important thing to me about him is that he’s a rescue and is sweetness personified πŸ™‚

@nyckitten:  That wasn’t even the thread I was thinking of!  There was another one I was reading while I was, of all things, waiting to do my final pre-IVF cycle blood draw (the one that caught the clotting issues– and here is my PSA- do not read rude WB threads while in the final stages of pre-blood test fasting!).  But I do thank you for calling out that person.  I remember thinking of how crazy it was that she was trying to out-“medical field” an actual MD, and implied that anyone who chooses IVF is ignorant.  Did she respond?  I’m curious to see if this week’s doc suggests anything different than my favorite RE.

AFM, my CM seems fertile, though not exactly like EW.  If only I could now have the type of CM I had at the end of stims!  That was nuts!  I’m back to testing 2x day.  This evening’s test was much darker than this morning’s.  Pretty close to the control line!  I’m hoping tomorrow’s will be such that I deem it worthy to use the Clearblue to confirm a positive.

And… scene.  Why do I even bother saying I’ll be quick?  Haven’t we all learned that my avatar is incapable of being posted next to anything short of a book???  πŸ™‚

@texasbee:  I am sorry (((HUGS))) I really was hoping that at least one of those three would have just done it.  It’s great that your DH is so supportive and is giving you time to grieve this for now.  Take your time to be sad and angry and whatever it is that you are feeling.  This isnt easy! I hate that this didnt work for you :(((   Whether you decide to do it again right away or wait until October, we are here for you, dear!  Always rooting for you! πŸ™‚

@Yellow.Clover:  Sorry for AF, but I’m glad you get to do treatment this cycle. Hoping all goes well.

@nyckitten: Cute kitties. Goodluck at tomorrow’s appointment.

@texasbee:  Really sorry to hear that. Hope they can find some answers soon for why that’s happening. I think you should take as much time as you need to heal.

@MrsR4ever:  Hey lady, sorry bout your accident, but fingers cross it all leads to a bfp this cycle.

@HopefulForLittleOne:  I like your long posts, Smile. Hoping you O soon, are you still temping?

And a warm welcome to all the new ladies!

As for me, I’m in my TWW, although I’m not really studying it too much. RE wants me to call as soon as AF reaches to start IUI, but I’m still undecided if I want to go that route or save every cent we have for alternative options.

@texasbee:  Oh honey, I am so, so sorry.  How devastating.  Please take all the time you need.  I’m so glad your DH is there for you.  Might it be worth going to a different RE?  If you send me a PM with your protocol and details, I can ask my RE if he has any ideas (that’s how I started seeing him, after a friend who was seeing him asked him about my situation and he provided a detailed response, so I know he’s done such things).  On another infertility board I’m on, lots of women travel to Europe for IVF with donor eggs, which seems to be very reasonably priced (compared to the US).  Though I know from experience that considering a donor is a huge, painful step.  No matter what you decide as your next step, we’re here for you!

So, I tested again this morning and the second line made itself obvious right away.  I thought the lines were equal, so I tested with a Clearblue, but it says no πŸ™  When I took the Clearblue stick out, those lines are not equal (middle in the photo), but the packaging says not to read anything into those lines.  So what do you think?  Do the Wondfo lines not look equal?  Maybe today’s PM test will be the one?  I have only 5 more Clearblue tests, so I hope this happens soon!  It’s frustrating when it looks like I SHOULD have a positive.  But I guess that’s why its important to double check.

Just commenting real quick because I still have some morning reports to get done and then I’ll be back to comment more.

@HopefulForLittleOne: Ummm…that wondfo is POSITIVE! I can’t believe the digi said no, and yes you can’t read anything on them when you take them apart. I would maybe try doing another at least 2 or 3-hour hold if you can and try them both again. Are you still charting? GL!!! YAYYYY!!! πŸ˜€

@texasbee: I’m so, so sorry! Words cannot express my sympathies. I really hope you are able to find it in the both of you to try again. I can’t even imagine how hard it is to go through, but I hope your doctor can offer some words of advice. Glad to hear your DH is being supportive, I’m sure it must be so tough on the both of you. Hope you don’t mind, but I hope I can offer some advice? I know you aren’t in the States, but maybe try looking into the supplement called pregnitude? It’s supposed to help those with PCOS improve egg quality and lower insulin. I think in Europe it’s labeled as Pregnicare? I think @macmint83: has been trying it? I’m sure you’ve probably looked into everything already, but I also googled foods to eat to help improve egg quality, I figure it’s worth a try. I’m giving them, along with the pregnitude a try this cycle. *BIG HUGS*

@texasbee:  Words cannot describe how sorry I am. I too hope your doctor can give some answers and a positive game plan. Thinking of you sweetie…

@HopefulForLittleOne:  hmmm the Wondfo looks positive to me too but that’s why I did digis because I suck at reading them! My RE had given me information that strictly said not to test with the happy face digital tests (I have no idea why) the kit they recommended was LH Kit Clearblue (formerly Clearplan Easy). Hopefully in a few hours you get a clear positive.

I randomly posted on one of the verrrry old versions of this thread a few times (been absent from WB for like 6 months!) But I found my way back over here last week.

Cycle Day and TTC since/Cycles trying: Unsure, I think CD84 or so. πŸ™ / 1.5 years

Age (if you care to share): 23

Issues if any: PCOS & Endometriosis (also a fallopian tube issue that is supposedly not severe). Had a LAP for the Endo 11/11, probably need another one.

Charting? (share your chart if you like):  Yes – it’s on my phone.

Estimated next POAS date: It was today. Nada.

How are you going after you BFP: We’ve been DTD at least twice a week and I’ve started using OPKs to try and pinpoint when I O…no luck so far. My cycle is somewhere between 87-93 days most of the time due to my issues. We’re about to get a referral to a fertilty specialist and hopefully start Clomid.

Your plans for the tww: Well, just finished it, but I was miserable. I think it’s finally getting to me that the more relaxed approach just isn’t going to work for us. By relaxed, I mean charting and doing my OPKs but not using any sort of intervention like Clomid, etc.

And for some fun stuff:

If you (and DH) were given an all expenses paid, ONE week vacation, where would you go?  Well, we’ve decided for every year we don’t have a BFP, we’re going on a big trip somewhere, not just to the beach like we did our first year of marriage. We have an awesome anniversary cruise planned for April  that is going to Honduras, Belize, and Mexico. I realize our anniversary is in March, but I’m a teacher, so we’re going on my Spring Break, lol.

If someone else were paying, I’d take my dream trip to Alaska!

What is your favorite thing to tell people that don’t “understand” infertility? Honestly I don’t say much, other than to inform them that it ISN’T actually all that easy to “just get pregnant” and that there are actually very few days a month you actually CAN. People don’t understand what getting pregnant can consist of, even people who have been pregnant before.

Do you have furbabies? If so, post pics! Yes, we do!! Here are my babies. Lucy (left) and Chevy (right) have been keeping me sane. We’ve had them both for about 4 years each. We rescued Lucy when she was 3 months old and then 3 months later we rescued Chevy from the same rescue center when he was a tiny little 8 week old. Lucy is now 4 and Chevy will be 4 in October. Love them!

Okay, lots of chatting going on lately, I love it! πŸ™‚

@lovemygsp:  πŸ™‚ Thank you!! How are you doing lovely? I seen you had a scare over the weekend, hope everything turns out just perfectly! Thinking of you, good luck with your u/s.

@macmint83: Thank you! Yes, training a new pup is hard. Luckily, I leave that mostly up to DH, he’s better at it than I am. How are you doing?

@MrsR4ever: I think I might go look at the Mazda and the Suburu (like Hopeful’s) this weekend. We’ll see πŸ™‚

@HopefulForLittleOne: OMG, snuggle pup!! eeep! We sooooo need a King too, especially with two pups now.

@BOGB: Hello lovely!! I’m so sorry to see you join us! I mean, of course I’m happy your here, your such a great supporter over on the 6+, but sad to see you’ve hit the 12 month mark. I’m so excited for your plan ahead. I really think you’ll start seeing some good results soon, and even better, a BFP! *hugs*

What year is your mom’s Escape? I had a co-worker once who had one, older model, and it had close to 300K miles on it, I couldn’t believe it!

@lonsk: Turn tricks on the side!?? Bahahah. Excellent response!! Nosey arse! Sheesh, that was none of his business. The funny thing is, both dealerships we’ve been to we’ve gone straight after work; they all look at his shirt and ask about what he does. Luckily, they know we mean business. πŸ˜‰

@HopefulForLittleOne:  @lonsk: Ummm…heck yes, let’s get out of here! πŸ˜‰ FX soon!! Whoever leaves first, please be sure to leave loads of baby dust behind!

@texasbee: I agree with dropping them off at the doorstep. Also, is it bad that whenever I hear of a teenage daughter/granddaughter getting pregnant that I desperately hope to hear that they’re going for adoption!? Sigh.

@nyckitten: Thank you! Glad to hear you have another RE appointment this week. I think it’s great getting different opinions and “test driving” REs to find the best and most convenient one. I hope that everything turns out just perfectly!

@nyckitten:  @HopefulForLittleOne:  Now I must go and try to figure out what thread you both are speaking of! CRAZIES I tell you. It’s just unbelievable how insensitive and rude some members are in this community. Now granted, the kind ones totally outweigh, but come on, didn’t their mother’s ever teach them if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all?! I was outraged over the idiot who had to bring down the positivity on the walk for hope thread. What was the point of her needing to post anything at all? Educate yourself, and then if you still don’t agree, just move on. Why bring others down?

@picturemeurs: Thank you hun! Sorry you’re feeling indecisive as to what to do. I’m sure when the time comes, you’ll make the best decision that you can make. Best of luck. *hugs*

@MrsR4ever: Thank you, yes AF is here. We will be going for round 2 πŸ™‚

@AmeliaBedelia: Welcome, again! So sorry you have to be here, but it sounds like you’ve got some big plans starting and glad you’ve found us. Hopefully the RE will have a great plan of action and get you your much-deserved BFP soon! Your furbabies are too cute!! I love that they wear bandannas! Kali loves her dannas! She even picks them out on her own. Chevy actually looks a lot like my Kali. Too cute!

AFM: Well, today is CD2, and I called into the RE and scheduled my u/s for tomorrow morning. They have also increased my meds to 100mg of clomid and 150 gonal-F (previously 50 and 75). I asked if there was a reason for the increase, she just said they would’ve liked to seen more follies. So, I’m excited. At least with upping the dosage, starting the pregnitude, and trying to eat better, I feel hopeful that it CAN happen this round. I’m going to try my hardest to stay sane and positive this cycle and not let everything get to me. We’ll see.
