sleepymelis : Japan sounds amazing! I wouldn’t mind going there either. Can I just win a bunch of money so I can just go travel the whole world?

littleanchor : My IUI will probably be the day after Valentine’s Day. I told Darling Husband that’s our date this year. I did buy hulk a Reese heart though. Also Paris sounds fun! I’ve never been to Europe so I’d like to travel all over it, but Rome is going to be my first stop. Then maybe Scotland.

Dr_dazzle : The most amazing thing about Rome, to me, was just walking down any random street and seeing brand new buildings built around (or sometimes into) structures that are hundreds of years old. It’s such a strange blend of old and new, such a contradiction. But somehow it works.
The famous sights are wonderful and crowded, but when you’re done tourist-ing you need to spend at least one evening in Trastavere! It’s the neighborhood where the locals go to hang out and have dinner / drinks. It’s a really fun area.

Dr_dazzle : Scotland is amazing! Italy is on my bucket list. I’ve been to a few countries in Europe but haven’t made it to Italy yet. Trying to enjoy the ability to travel as much as we can for as long as we can. Last year we did Barcelona.

ROLL CALL
Your Age/Partner’s Age: 33/34
How long you have been together/married: 9 years/5.5 years
How long you have been TTC: Since July 2014…..sigh.
Known Issues/TTC History: We pretty much have unexplained infertility. I have mild PCOS but still ovulate regularly so that doesn’t seem to be an issue. We’ve tried 4 medicated IUIs, 3 surgeries to remove polyps, an ovarian cyst and a surprise uterine septum, switched fertility clinics, and are finally doing our first IVF cycle this month.
Your TTC plans for the next few months: (fertility meds, supplements, OPKs, BBT charting, NTNP, etc) IVF! Stims start on Monday and estimated egg retrieval is Feb 16. We are doing a freeze all and will hopefully be doing our first FET in April.
Just for fun: Where is a place you’d love to visit soon? I love to travel! It helps distract us from our TTC issues. High on my list of possible places to visit are Greece, Japan, Thailand, and Iceland.

Dr_dazzle : sleepymelis : Rome is AMAZING! We went there last April (as well as Tuscany and Venice) and loved it so much. We stayed in an Airbnb in Trastevere and it was incredible. Definitely see all the top tourist attractions because they are worth it but it’s also a blast just wandering around. And the food! OMG. I still dream about the food and gelato.
littleanchor : Looks like we are practically cycle twins! You are a couple days ahead of my schedule.
