I hope it’s ok that I pop in here even though I’m currently pregnant since I’v be at this a very long time.
sleepymelis : If you are looking into more supplements, my RE also recommend resveratrol, acai, melatonin (as high anti oxidant supplement) and myo-inositol (this one for mild pcos, so maybe it doesnt apply to you).
Dr_dazzle : From what I know about endo, it can only really be diagniosed with a lap. And even if they do see endo and remove it, it’s unknow at the moment if there is endo on a cellular level that can effect the endometrium that can not be seen during a lap. Something to maybe ask about would be EFT or ERA to test tne endo and make sure it’s optimal for a transfer.
lifeisbeeutiful : Are you going to do PGS?

Thinngs we’ve done: (fertility meds, supplements, OPKs, BBT charting, NTNP, etc). 3 IUI, 8 retreivals, 2 transfers with 3day embryos (bfn), 3 transfers with blasts (bfps) 3 m/c and just got our bfp 2 weeks ago with the 3rd.

sleepymelis : Putting Trastavere on my list of must things to do in Rome!
mkat37 : I also really want to go to Venice! I feel like I need a month in Italy so I don’t feel rushed. Again I say I just need to win a bunch of money. 😂
lifeisbeeutiful : Glad you like the thread! Just thought we needed a safe place to complain if needed; without putting all of our negativity towards regular ttcers.
pinkshoes : of course you’re more than welcome! I really hope you have your sticky rainbow baby now though. 💕 I’ll definitely ask about the EFT and ERA if I end up doing the lap. The only thing that makes my RE think possible endo is a cyst on my right ovary that looks like it could be endo. Luckily the cyst isn’t causing O issues though. I O just fine.
Jordan sounds like it could be fun. I also would love to go to Egypt once it’s safe.

pinkshoes : thanks for the tip! I’m always on the lookout for supplements to add to my regimen!
I have looked into myo-inositol but saw that it was mostly for PCOS, so I decided against it. My issue is more low bbt / short LP / scanty menses. So it seems like I’m deficient in ALL the hormones – probably a side effect of 20 years on BC. And having 38-year-old eggs. 🙄
What is resveratrol for?
sleepymelis : It’s like acai, just another antioxidant, for eqq quality supposedly.

Dr_dazzle : this board is a great idea- thanks for starting. Hope we can all help and support each other. Sleepymelis, you sound like me- I was on bc 10 years and often went straight through packs to avoid periods. No family history of early menopause so I’m not sure why my egg quality would be low or what else I can do?

mkat37 : we will probably end up retrieving at around the same time! Last round of IVF I ended up going an extra 2-3 days on meds so we’ll be close! What meds are you on for your first round?

pinkshoes : the Dr’s recommended PGD to look for my specific chromosonal abnormality but PGS sounds like a great option foo me too, will ask!
im loving this thread. I go to my first RE appointment monday!! 1 year and 3 months TTC currently.
lifeisbeeutiful : ooh ok, yes pgd covers pgs. Pgd looks for specific mutations or known issues, pgs (s=screening) just counts for the right number of chromosomes.

How long you have been together/married: together 7 years, married just over 1
How long you have been TTC: 11 months (since ectopic)
Known Issues/TTC History: Ectopic pregnancy Jan 2017, lost my left fallopian tube Feb.
Your TTC plans for the next few months: (fertility meds, supplements, OPKs, BBT charting, NTNP, etc): Seeing a fertility specialist end of Feb – SA for Darling Husband, a barrage of tests for me I’m assuming. Continuing temping and using opks. Not sure of other plans, will depend on our test results…
Just for fun: Where is a place you’d love to visit soon? Everywhere!!! We’re currently looking at Spain/Canary Islands for a possible trip in December- tempting the universe to get us pregnant haha<!–/data/user/0/com.samsung.android.app.notes/files/share/clipdata_180204_224057_023.sdoc–>

pinkshoes : congrats on your pregnancy!! I hope this is your super sticky baby and you have a very uneventful 9 months!
littleanchor : We are doing an antagonist protocol with letrozole, Gonal-F and centrotide. What meds are you taking? Did they change up your protocol at all for this cycle?
mkat37 : last time I primed with bcp, then Did microdose Lupron flare protocol. This time I did estrogen priming, then 150 IU of menopur and 450 of follistim and add in ganirelex when I’m getting closer. I’m terrible at knowing the names of the protocols. I’m hoping the change results in better quality. Our last transfer we had 3 remaining on day 5 but they hadn’t made it to the blast stage and had high percentage of fragmentation. Transferred 2, neither stuck and our last one didn’t make it to freeze.
