BeverlyGeese :  What a beautiful embryo! I am truly hoping this is your month, good luck! πŸ™‚

AFM, sorry I have not responded properly. I want to cry with what is going on with me. A simple question to my specialist has resulted in my transfer being delayed until I see a prenatal genetic specialist. We are likely looking at weeks and weeks. I asked my clinic if the transfer would be pushed to the New Year and she said if my appt is not until December, maybe. My DH and I want to tell my clinic to forget the whole thing but my husband thinks I should cool off before calling. I will wait until next week with our long weekend here. πŸ™ πŸ™

weightwatchers152 :  I am so sorry you are going through this and I think you have good reasons to be frustrated. I don’t have much experience with this but I’m really hoping your transfer happens before the new year .

weightwatchers152 :  I’m sorry about the delay. Delays blow, but keep in mind they’re trying to do everything they can make it a successful treatment.

AFM, I started provera last night for the next 10 days to induce CD1 so that I can start meds for FET. We have 3 embryos on ice (5AA, 5BC, and 4BB).We were originally going to transfer two, but were misinformed on the expected success rates. We talked to the doctor, who stated transferring 1 would be about 50% success and 2 would be 60% we felt that transferring 1 and giving us 3 tries is probably the best option. The difference in expected success rates just wasn’t very big.

weightwatchers152 :  Come angry wait with me over here! I was told that I wouldn’t be transferring until after Jan 1 too (surgery date is 10/28).

BeeinBoston :  I took off and even 2 days later I was still really sore and wouldn’t have wanted to be moving around too much.

Colormepink :  Cute puppy! Glad retrieval went well.

My grandma needs major surgery in 2 weeks (she’s 86) so that’s consuming a lot of my time/thoughts. Trying to figure out if I’ll drive myself insane if I take a vacation to Disneyland next month (and where I should go if we don’t go to Disneyland lol). I’ve been reading along.

vanike :  I think transferring one at a time sounds good – we had 3 embryos as well and chose to do this because it felt like more tries and of course, higher success rates.

hollyberry4 :  ouch! Do you normal bruise easily or have anemia? Do you take ibprofin? I was told Tylenol only so my blood isn’t thinned. Do you take them after a warm shower? If so all your blood could be at the surface which leads to more bruising.  I have a few small bruises on my stomach at injection sites but nothing that severe. I alternate each side of stomach and my thigh. Make sure you are gripping and pulling out your skin and entering the needle in at a 45 degree angle, letting your grip off your skin as you inject. That’s how I was taught st my injections class. Gonal has been a piece of cake, it comes in an epi style pen. It’s the gangrilex or however it’s spelled that’s been painful. I get hives at the injection site and my whole tum itches until morning. Hoping my ultrasound and blood work tomorrow shows that everything is going well and it’s all worth it.

I really hope you don’t keep bruising.

hollyberry4 :  Ouch!  You poor thing, that looks painful!  I bruised a little bit, but definitely not to that extent! I hope your upcoming injections are better!
