I am 10-11-15! I feel like I have so much left but then not a lot either. I need to sit down this week and make a final to do list.

I am waiting for about 40% or less of my rsvps still (a little over a week left). Then I’m going to finish up the seating plan (I did a preliminary one while I had some down time the other day and figured it was easier to move people than to start from scratch). We’re doing a seating chart so I need to make sure I get it sent to the printer and get a nice frame for it.

I just have two gifts left to get (mom and step mom). Fiance are I aren’t exchanging gifts- his bday is the next month and then xmas and I’m poor lol. But we are writing each other letters which is great because Fiance is a writer and great with words… not so much with gift giving lol.

I want to fix up my vows because I think of new and better stuff while driving to work- of course when I don’t have a pen and paper handy- and then I forget it. So I need to sit down and think about them.

Fiance is giving a speech, I’m not. So that’s one thing down for me haha

I feel like I’m totally missing the most important things, but I don’t know. I did pack up all the stuff I wanted to bring to the venue in a box in our bedroom already so I don’t forget anything. You’d be surprised how many things I keep throwing in there that I would have forgotten if I packed the night before the wedding lol

I’m 10.10.15 and I can’t wait for the day to get here already, BUT I do feel like I still have a lot to do in the next 33 days! 😱 I still need to:

-do thank you cards for my shower

-do a seating plan, but im still waiting for a ton of rsvps (deadline is 9/26)

-make favors and escort cards once I have a final count

-get pants for the guys (they aren’t doing tuxes so we had to put together an outfit)

-pick readings and readers for our ceremony and meet with the priest again

-I have my hair and makeup trial next week

-decide on what jewelry to wear

-have another dress fitting this week

-meet with DJ, venue owner, limo company, florist and photographer to verify everything

-buy rings

-get a few more decorative items

I’m sure there is a bunch of other little things as well that I’m not remembering right now! Luckily my job is letting me take off from 10/1 through 10/18 so I’ll have no excuse to get everything done in time!

10-10 here.  Waiting on a suprising number of RSVPs.  We are catering ourselves and I’m doing the flowers. We have lots of help decorating.  I’m just so antsy to get it all put together.

I’m finalizing my flower orders with 3 wholesale vendors as we speak.  Once that is done I can focus on my first dress fitting on Friday.  I’ve lost 50 lbs since I ordered my dress so I’m freaking OUT!

The cake is all set and delivery is confirmed.  Meeting with the Photog in 2 weeks.  Rentals are all set up and confirmed.

I have no idea what we are doing for music for the ceremony or HOW we are going to play it?  I need to find a way to hook up my ipod to speakers for the receoption too.

I’ve been freaking out & I still have 2 months to go!!!  I think it’s just the realization that it’s happening!! Like, holy shit your getting married! It’s a bit overwhelming,& you just want everything to be perfect . I know the closer it gets the more I’ll freak out! Lol all my major stuff is done ( florist ,photographer taken care of, all my girls dresses, everything for reception, ect ) BUT we don’t have an officiant! 😬 I thought we were gonna have the pastor that baptized me but it’s looking like that’s not happening!! So I’m a bit freaked out about that, I didn’t wanna just pick a random officiant but I may have to..

but good luck! I’m sure everything will work out fine and your day will be awesome! because in the end- all this stuff really don’t matter, what matters is that we marry the love of our life!!

KapOct18:  I’m 10-18 too!  You’re the first date-twin I’ve found. YAY.

I pick up my dress from alterations tomorrow. I’m just finishing up the rehearsal dinner tablescapes.

Everything is done!! Seriously, I can’t think of anything that needs doing, other than my hair and makeup day of.

I hope everyone had a wonderful wedding day! Don’t sweat the small stuff!

I’m not so stressed about the wedding, but about moving to Canada right after the wedding and looking for a new job!  We do have a packed schedule though.

  • 10/2 is my last day at work.
  • 10/5 My in-laws and one of my BFFs arrive
  • 10/6 Fiance arrives and we have our welcome party that evening
  • 10/7 We leave early early in the morning (2AM!) for Orlando to drop my cat off for her flight to Canada, then we head to Disney World for our bachelor/bachelorette party.  Orlando is about 3 hours from my hometown.
  • 10/8 Drive back to my hometown for our Rehearsal/Rehearsal Dinner and Nail appointments for me.
  • 10/9 is the big day!
  • 10/10 We fly out to Tokyo for our honeymoon
  • 10/17 We go from Tokyo to Canada and start processing my immigration paperwork

The only thing I’m really worried about right now is my dress.  It’s still at the alterations shop, but they promised me it would be done this week.

This past week has been bad, but I think that just means the week of the wedding will go smoothly! Fingers crossed!

The alterations shop was supposed to call me last week to set up a time for a second fitting, but I didn’t hear from them.  Then, my elderly dog got very sick on Friday last week and I had to rush her to the emergency vet so I completely forgot to call them.  I try to be reasonable, so when they said they would call me last week I decided to wait to the end of the week before I started harrassing them, but unfortunately I got distracted by my dog.  She was more important, I think.

My bridal shower was the next day.  We got the results back from the dog’s blood test that morning confirming that the dog was dying.  My bridal shower was great, but I forgot one of the cards on the table at the restaurant and it happened to be the card that had the cash my Maid/Matron of Honor was giving me to cover her hair and make up ($150!!).

I tried to call the restaurant as soon as I realized (30 minutes after we left) but nobody ‘turned in’ my card/envelope.  The manager had the waiters go through the trash to look for the envelope, but it still was lost. I figure someone just got a really good tip because of my stupid mistake.  They might need it more than me.  I was mad at myself for a few hours then I told myself there was no point beating myself up for it.  What was done was done, and the only person that anger would hurt was me. I had more important things to worry about and in a few weeks this would seem very minor.

Sunday we had a party for the dog.  We took family pictures with her and made impressions of her pawprints to keep.  Monday we took her to the vet to be put to sleep.  My brother and my Mom were extremely sad.  My Mom feels like she’s losing her dog and her daughter just a few weeks apart. 🙁 I tell her I’m not lost, and I will visit her as often as possible. I don’t think that makes it better, only time can do that.

When I got home from the vet on Monday the carrier for my cat arrived from amazon. The top of it was cracked all the way down one side.  I got in contact with amazon’s customer service team and asked to return it and have a new one delivered ASAP.  The new one is being delivered today, but I completely forgot to put the old one outside for UPS to pick up.  UGH.  I’ll have to call UPS to schedule a new return pick up time.

So yeah, this week has been bad. But I am pushing through it in the knowledge that next week will be so much better! 🙂  My Uncle – one of my favorite people int he world – gets here on Saturday with my cousin Jared. I am so excited to have them here. I might ask my cousin to be our ‘MC’ and announce us as a bride and groom, haha.
