- Wedding: May 2014
Alright ladies, we have commented on May 2014 boards, for our month, and our date specifically. Many threads have been started full of our countdowns, our lists, our questions and our concerns. By NOW, at almost the single digit countdown, my hope is the 5/3/14 ladies are almost set, and ready to go! I cannot believe our date is NEXT weekend. Before things get extremely busy, which for me starts on Wednesday (the 30th), let’s wrap up/unwind/relish in our time, and show each other some love! So ladies:
What is left to do?? What are you MOST anxious about/concerned about?? What part of the day are you MOST excited for (outside of obvious of marrying your FI’s), and what, if anything, will you miss most about wedding planning?!
I will start!
What is left to do?? I am pleased to say that we do not have MUCH left to do, as far as planning goes. FI (so, me) have to wrap his GM’s gifts as soon as the last present arrives. And, I need to wrap up details with our musicians, as well. Come Wednesday/Thursday, all we have to do is drop off items where they belong, pick-up my dress, get my ring cleaned, and pack for my night before things, and night of the wedding hotel bag. PLUS, the fun things we/I have to do: Get a pedi/mani, have my bridal luncheon with my BMs, socialize with guests coming into town, etc, etc, etc 🙂
What are you MOST anxious about/concerned about?? Honestly, being center stage is causing me anxiety. Everyone has said it ‘wont matter’, and it will be perfect, and I am sure it will be, but I still have apprehension about being ‘on display’ all day, or at least, definitely thru the ceremony!!
What part of the day are you MOST excited for (outside of the obvious of marrying your FI’s)?? I am MOST excited about the morning of with my gals, because if my plan goes accordingly to my timeline, I think it will be laid back, FUN, and funny. There will be champagne, pampering from hair/make-up people, and my best friends?! I could not ask for more!! Next, I am excited for our surprise bagpipe recessional. I think it will ‘wow’ some folks, and startle others. We did it for personal reasons, to memorialize my mom, so definitely emotional too. Finally, the party. I just cannot wait to dance (and drink!).
What, if anything, will you miss most about wedding planning?! Wedding planning, for me, was pretty simple. I am last of my friends getting married, and I saw a lot in their processes, which kept me grounded in mine. I felt that – and I hope it continues – I stayed ‘ahead’ of the game with a lot, therefore, never feeling bogged down or stressed. My lists, my excel sheets, my folders were a huge help to this – sorta OCD – Bride. FOR me, I do not think I will miss wedding planning, because I never felt that I was planning anything. Decisions were made fast, things kinda fell into place, and not until a week or so ago did I even feel like a “Bride-to-Be”. Hopefully, it stays this way for the next 8-10 days, because come Thursday evening, NO MATTER WHAT, I am DONE with the lists, and will just have fun!
GOOD LUCK LADIES!!!!
