The Mori Lee dress I considered was under $1000 ($850).

My Anjolique gown was retailed at $1030, after discount I bought it for $850.  I think you should be able to look into Maggie Sottero gowns as well (the ones with less bling and details).

I would suggest with any of the deisgners go to a trunk show so you get a discount.

Nicole Miller, J Crew, Lynn Lugo, Suri, and BCBG for sleeker styles.  They all have good construction and are often made with silk or better fabrics too.  Some are made in the US too.

I second J Crew  – they have gorgeous dresses in this price range.  Mine was lined, silk, floor length, amazingly comfortable – and under $200 🙂

Saja Wedding. All their dresses in the permenant collection are between $750 and $910.

I got my dress from J. Crew for only $300 (although it came to $414 with taxes and shippinng to Canada) It’s great quality!

I love Allure dresses and lots are under 1000.  And I second Mori Lee… I also think Essence of Australia is in that price range.

Some of these have been mentioned, but I want to suggest Mori Lee, Alfred Angelo, Private Label by G, Impressions, Da Vinci.

As someone else mentioned, some of the Maggie Sotteros will be under 1K, but others will go up to almost $1400.

My dress is Pronovias, and it was $1185, not sure how many are under $1000 but maybe some of the simpler ones, but as someone already mentioned you are better off going with San Patrick, their more affordable line.

My mother paid for my dress, and she did not have a budget. My Saja dress, which is a brand mentioned above, was under $1000. My dress was stunning. It made me look real good. 😉

I got my Casablanca for $850, but I know it was available at some shops for $650.

I got my Maggie Sottero for just over 1000. There are plenty of hers to choose from in your budget.
