Here is an idea for those of you that may encounter the same problem that I have regarding venues being booked for 10/10/10. We have decided to get married at midnight on Saturday night/Sunday morning so that we still have the 10/10/10 wedding date. Very non-traditional but then again so are we.

I JUST booked 10/10/10. We had planned on 1/8/11 or 1/15/11 but he was wanting to elope so we settled on a semi-elopement in October. I wanted 10/9/10, esp since it’s a holiday (Columbus Day) weekend which is great for all the out of towners (basically every but my grandparents and aunt, although its a small group to begin with). But the place was booked for that date and Friday the 8th but had the 10th open. And the Sunday was 1,500 cheaper!
When we confirmed everything with the venue today they said they’d been surprised that no one had snagged that date already.
However maybe I should point out that they’ve only been open as a venue since the beginning of this year.
